Thank goodness for long distance (Rose.)
Steve...Quinn...whatever the hell his name was wasn't home. He said he was going to work, but Tina wasn't sure. She wasn't sure of anything at this point since her life turned upside down on Taco Night. She'd made him sleep on the couch with Grumpy, then Grumpy peed in his shoes because she didn't like sharing the couch so he was back in bed with her at night now, but it was weird. Everything was weird and it wasn't like she had anyone she could talk to in Italy. There was only one person she could talk to in the world, really.
So Rose's phone would ring and even if she hit ignore it would continue to ring until she answered it. Tina was evil that way.

"...Ya know what time it is over here, Frosty?"

Total impossibility, of course, but it never hurt to put up a token protest when dealing with Frosty.
"What's up? They run out of fancy shoes in Italy?"

"You don't get hung over, werido. And no, they didn't run out of fancy shoes. I still have plenty of those. Got a pair of custom-made sandals last week. They were pretty neat. I bet I can even bet them to make a pair for your paw-sized feet."

"But ya didn't call at ungodly o'clock ta discuss my boots."

The disdain for those boots was almost tangible in Tina's voice.
"So you recall that I met a guy, right?"
no subject
"As I recall, I didn't approve, on account of not gettin' ta vet him first."

"Long enough fer him ta forget some of our tricks."
