Aiden sat in the room with Angel, his leg bouncing with nervous energy. He had flipped through whatever magazine he'd gotten five times. He hadn't read a word of it. He'd called the New Mutants base and Xavier's once he had gotten to the hospital. By now, people were here and in the waiting room.

When Angel spoke he bounced right out of the chair and over to her bedside. His hand automatically went to hold one of hers.

"Hey, sweetheart. You're safe now." It was all he could think to say.
