Kayla sighed a little sadly and looked over at Bobbi. "When my parents found out I was a mutant, I was cast out of the family." She took a breath. "Part of their religion. I just found out that my brother died and I won't even be able to go to his funeral."

"I just wish I could talk to him, even once. Tell him that I still love him, no matter what he thinks of me." She looked down at the floor for a moment before looking up at her friends. "I guess I'll have to settle for saying goodbye in my own way, though."
