Nika hadn't been on a long hike in awhile. She managed to keep up but there was a small ache from being out of practice. Also, there was a pebble in her left boot.

When Quinn stopped and signaled, the Symkarian figured the pointing was an indicator someone was up there. She quietly pulled the parts of her rifle out of the stock and assembled them. She wasn't as quick as Quinn, but she managed to get her rifle together.
