Nika had glanced up in time to see her newest employee come into the cafe. She looked back down to finish her paragraph, mark the page, and close the textbook labeled European Security.

"Good afternoon," she paused slightly. She was not sure which name she should use. Instead, she plowed on with the pleasantries. "It goes slowly, but slogging through coursework on a vacation would do that. Your day going well enough?"
