Remi's never one to protect himself with explosions around. He (and his pride) thought he could handle it. Though his first reaction with the big explosion was to shield his pregnant girlfriend with his force fields.

The Atlantean was slightly distracted with a glance over to make sure Alexa. So, when he tried to put a force field over the bomb at Joe's feet, it was not completely formed by the time of explosion. He managed to dull the explosion but not much else.

"Uhn." He rubbed his temple as the shield failing feedback ached a little. "Alexa, mon trésor, power armor's your thing. Any suggestions besides letting Roxie beat him to a pulp?"
