Alexa didn't want to have to have to resort to drastic measures in general and especially not on her own friends, but Jacob had just punched Remi. That was not something she could stand. She had been working on something for awhile without her father's blessing and without anyone's knowledge, but a legacy is a legacy.

"Damnit Jacob," she growled. Alexa balled her right hand into a fist and as she did so the iPhone-like device she'd been carrying with her started to break apart and reconfigure itself in a black and silver-toned near armor enclosing the fisted hand. Once the components locked into place, Alexa opened her hand. Five small repulsors dotted along her fingertips and one in the center of her hand. They all lit up and then Alexa unleashed an energy bitchslap on Jacob.
