"Success is a good thing," Ryan nodded. "You'd think I would have worked harder at it, but..." he shrugged again. "I'm easily distracted. Girls, parties, flying off into space to be alone. You know how it is." There had been crazy dreams recently with him wielding a kind of cosmic power that Ryan didn't yet possess. He hadn't told anyone but them, he didn't know what they meant, but he tried very hard not think about any of that.

"Granted, most of my friends think I'm kind of dumb and tend to write me off - even my family - but that's because I just...I'm wired differently. I think that people need to be more accepting - baseline humans, mutants, mutates, alien-hybrids, demigods, whatever. People gotta push past the minor differences and see that we all have life in common, but no one's ever actually deep enough or smart enough to see that."
