Marcelo didn't even notice how un-Shaw-like Stephanie was sounding. He was far more emotionally and mentally drained than he would admit to. He had been up all night desperately searching for Stephanie only to come up empty-handed. Then he got the call and had to wait through an hour of driving to get to her. He had his emotions riding on his skin. He was only processing that he wasn't needed here.
