Even if they didn't have to, Kayla would've moved closer anyway. As it was, she cut a little of the small distance between them. Just enough space apart to allow for easy movement, and oh wow, Brianna sure can move. She'd noticed it before, of course, in the Danger Room but this was a completely different context and one that definitely let loose the butterflies.

And then she came even closer and it suddenly was not just nerves and excitement- but a little bit of something else too. Normally she would've been the one to notice the guys, especially since some of them were probably regulars and she'd probably made them triple grande soy lattes with extra vanilla syrup in the past.

But her eyes were on one person, and one person only right now.

"Mmm, I should, now that I've found the right partner. Dating isn't exactly a solo activity."

Then the music changed, into a slower number, and the dancefloor started pairing off into couples. Kayla's hands wrapped around Brianna's waist.

"The inevitable slow dance." She commented, surprised at how electric even relatively minor contact felt.
