"Eyes on the pan, bucko." Kayla rolled her eyes at the comment, which could have been programmed in the Creep-O-Matic 2000. She's vaguely interested in seeing him cook, though. It looks like he knows what he's doing, but there's no passion in it. When Kayla cooked with Hana, they laughed and joked and made a giant mess. The omelette would probably end up tasting pretty decent, but there'd be no love behind it.

That annoyed Kayla. Making food was supposed to be about sharing. But this guy- he just struck her as cold and detached.
