"The coast is clear." Stephanie responded in a voice that seemed almost shaky. She'd absorbed a lot of energy, despite the awful welts that were forming from the bullets. And at the same time, there was a realization that she'd just done a terrible thing.

She told him where they needed to go, so he could plan the route already. They'd get there as fast as possible.
"Marcelo, just hold on a few more minutes. We're going to get you to a hospital." And she was going to try and get out of it again, though a part of her believed that was unlikely, with the bruising and welts from gunshots and the torn clothes and the blood, most of which wasn't actually her own.
"You'll be okay." It took only a minute or so for the driver to find them, the vehicle pulling up and the door opening. She helped him in as best she could, got in herself and off they went to the nearest hospital.
