The Omega Sentinel didn't wait to be tackled by people running on foot. It immediately took flight and started pelting the area with a rapid-fire concussive energy weapon, before manifesting a syringe-like weapon from its wrists, firing placed shots at each of the X-Men.

Any X-Man that was hit by the syringe would suffer a temporary loss of their powers.
