"Ah, so we meet at last. This is the man my daughter speaks so often about." Sebastian seemed jubilant, triumphant as he offered his hand to Marcelo. He certainly noted the downcast expressions on their faces, which only fuelled his sense of triumph. The man was more likely than not an obstacle in his path. If the Brazilian were lucky, Stephanie would abandon him and he might even be able to survive.
He had achieved so much tonight. He could afford to be generous.
"What did you two think of the speech? It was a little overripe, yes, but that's what the crowd likes. It certainly seemed to have quite a response, though." He chuckled slightly and sipped his drink.
"You look like you're recovering nicely from that tragic incident, though." He smirked directly at Marcelo.
"Stephanie, I think Brooke is looking for you. Perhaps you could let us two men chat for a moment?" It seemed kindly enough phrased, but with Marcelo's hearing, he'd be able to discern an order from a genuine request. Sebastian Shaw rarely gave requests.
