late night boredom

Who: Mira and any Avengers around
What: movie night?

Okay, so popping in a movie at dark thirty in the morning probably wasn't a good thing, but Mira had taken over the TV and was curled up on the couch with a large bowl of popcorn beside her, one of the robotic teddy bears she had been working on in her lap, shifting a little she made herself comfortable before pushing the button to turn on the movie.

Movie of choice tonight? Young Frankenstein, because who can resist a black and white? The pile on the table before her is just as silly, Men in Tights and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  Snagging a handful of popcorn she pops one kernel into her mouth at a time as the movie starts.

"In practice, but ugh learning about it through books not so fun."

"I'll get the movie ready then."

She had forgotten about the bear for the time being. While it was ignored it moved away from the room.

By the time he was back she was back on the couch, the popcorn she had thrown at him tossed away.

Jay hadn't noticed the bear was gone by the time he returned with his massive sandwich. He used an entire loaf of french bread to make his snack. He saw nothing wrong with it as he was still a growing boy according to his mother.

"Think I'm ready."

Mira glanced at the sandwich. "Need chips with that thing? Or iced tea?" She snickered before reaching for the remote. Hey if she couldn't tease someone in the group what's the point of being in a group.

"There weren't any Salsa Verde, so no chips." Jay was particular about his late-night indigestion. He settled in on a chaise lounge so he had plenty of lap for his plate.

"Didn't break any teeth on popcorn kernels or the gears, right?"

"Gears weigh more than popcorn, told ya that." She giggled tossing a kernel of popped corn into the air catching it in her mouth as she pressed play.

"Depends on size and what material they're made out of." He said it with conviction. Since he had been around Reed Richards quite a bit when he was younger.

He had to open his mouth real wide to get a bite into his sandwich, but he managed to get one.

"I'll stick to plastic or metal gears for my little machines. Besides they're just toys, I'm not into the big flashy toys... well other than my bike. But that's a special case."

She was actually impressed having figured he wouldn't be able to. "Okay you're the one to not challenge into an eating contest got it." She nibbled a little more on her popcorn.

"This is a tiny sandwich if I'm green," he noted around a mouthful of sandwich. He saw no need to be polite and wait 'til he swallowed. He wasn't spraying bread crumbs at anyone but himself, and they were both facing the TV so no see-food.

"Still amazed you can handle eating it without getting sick." She did snicker a little tossing a handful of popcorn his way. "And manners, don't talk with your mouth full."

"I'mma growing guy," he commented after swallowing. He smacked his lips slightly. It was a damn tasty sandwich.

He glanced to the tiny missiles bouncing off his arm. "It's a compliment to the chef that I can't stop eating."

Even if the chef was himself.

Mira laughed. "It's dark thirty at night pretty sure you're the chef there big guy. Besides you're loud enough to wake the dead with your eating I can't hear the movie." Not that she was really paying attention to it.
