It's not a date? (Open Avengers and Vincent)

Mira was scrambling, trying to find something decent to wear, even if technically she was just going to visit Vincent in the lab.  Six outfits later she came out of her room, Lucifer over her shoulder.  She was actually wearing HEELS!  the skirt was tastefully summery and the sleeveless blouse looked more model than rocker.  

"Ugh, I'm already running late,"  She started for the door, dialing for a cab because no way in hell was she going to ride her bike in this get up.  Hopefully no one else in the house would see her dolled up, she had a feeling she'd never live it down.

"You mean when not in training." She grinned a little. "You'll be the first there actually. None of the team have gone." She grinned. "Not that I haven't invited them." She sipped her drink a moment. "And I'd rather not have a penthouse anyway. Too disconnected from people."

He raises an eyebrow coyly. "Invited any of them for the same reason as me? I'm guessing no, since it'd be hard to imagine them turning you down." He winks at her.

He considers her outlook, then nods. "I can understand that. I love the city, but I need to be able to seclude myself at times.

"Please living with them is enough, I don't date roomies." She grinned at him. "Besides, only one seems interested in music as far as I know, and pretty sure Jay's got someone."

"Though all wizards had some little cabin in the woods somewhere. Thanks for bursting that bubble." She flashed a grin to let him know she was kidding. "Though know that feeling. It's why I disappear in engine blocks."

"Hey, I'm still the classic wizard." He grins. "Working out of a fortified lair inside a giant tower... it just happens to have my boss' name on it instead of mine."

"You know that doesn't count right?" She giggled more. "Because it's not your tower, but guess it'll have to do. But I'm no princess."

"I could argue that." He winks at her, eating more of his entree. "This is good. Nice choice of restaurant."

"I would like to hear it sometime." She smiled. "And it is. We might have to come here again."

[vincent_amora]

"To be fair, you're much more of the modern heroic princess type." Vincent smiles. "Self-rescuing, and all that. Goes with the outstanding abs."

Flirting. He can do this.

"So much better if I actually knew how to hold my own against the heavy hitters though." She grinned at him amused with the idea. "Though anyone else calls me Princess I'm hitting with a monkey wrench okay. I'll let my magical knight deal with the idiot's henchmen."

"Which idiot and their henchmen have been calling you a princess besides me?" He chuckles, although there's a bit of genuine curiosity. Even if he's not asking for an exclusive commitment, he'd like to get the lay of the land.

She grinned. "Currently that would probably be the guys when I walk in the door, lead by Jay who say me leave."

"Well, to be fair, you're looking more princessy than usual today. It's very nice." He winks at her again, finishing his plate.

She smiled. "Well, figured if me showing up wouldn't get you out of the lab, dressing up would. Just didn't think it would be so easy, remind me next time though, no heels. I swear they're modern day torture devices. I love my boots more thanks."

[vincent_amora]

"Not an unfounded theory, I'll admit. And boots are good on you, although I'll confess that those heels do amazing things to your legs." His grin shifts in tone a little.

Even without heels, I'd be willing to take you shopping for some more dresses. Audhild would love an outing, and I need to get her some new school clothes anyway."
