"...in the words of my Uncle Ben," Mary said, as she went flying (the armored plates had protected her from the impact), "'What a revoltin' development!"

She let herself hit the ground, wincing with the impact, but enduring it for the rather big hole it left. There, she quickly reduced her mass to almost nothing as she transformed into a dragonfly.

With any luck, she thought as she zipped out of the hole, anyone tracking the collar would just think she'd been knocked out for a while by the impact.
