"Hey, you weren't horrible to me. You were just...in a very confused place. I understand that. You know, in retrospect." He leaned back in the chair and crossed one leg over the other. "You've really gotta stop talking about yourself like that, though, Alisa. I can't speak for where you were - obviously, that was something that you needed to deal with - but think of this as a second chance. Maybe this time to definitively stay out of the way of those who brought you down last time." He drummed his fingers against his knee for a moment. "You have some bad patterns, Alisa. This really needs to be a wake-up call for you. You might not have made it out alive."
