Stephanie was almost dumbstruck by his 'explanation' and it took her about five seconds or so to finally decide to open the door. It was clear from her expression that she was extremely annoyed, however.

"You don't like security. That's wonderful, Alistaire, because neither do I. Except my father wants to murder my husband and quite possibly me too, and we need every bit of security we can get.
