Reunion

Millicent had already been to see Joe since she arrived in the States, and now she was off to visit his sister, Peggy. It had been years since she talked to the younger woman, but when Millicent had heard what had happened, she made it a point to get in touch with her. Her work took a lot of responsibility, but that didn't mean ignoring old friends.

What was it with everyone coming out of the wood work? Peggy wasn't exactly sure but when she got the message from Mills that she happened to be in town Peggy wasn't going to just let it go.

"So is everyone popping up these days?"

"If they are, no one has let me in on it. Good to see you, Peg," Millicent says, giving the younger woman a hug.

Peggy returned Millicent's hug warmly with an embrace that was a little bit stronger than maybe the last time they'd seen each other. If Peggy had been wearing a sleeveless shirt the slight definition of her arm and shoulder muscles would have been visible.

"Dani's back, you've just shown up. I think there is something of a concentrated effort here and I'm wondering if there's a convention that no one's yet told me about. Either that or I just missed my invitation because I was out of town. How are you?"

"Well they are certainly being proper-quiet about it if that is the case," she said with a chuckle. "I am all right I suppose. Work keeps me dreadfully busy most of the time. First bit of personal time I've had in a good while. "Pardon the assumption, but I do believe you've grown a bit since we last saw each other." She lifted one of Peggy's arms up, testing the muscles a bit with her fingers. You have proper canons under these clothes."

"I've had to do a bit of weight training so that my body can support my leg. It required some adjustments."
