Stephanie wasn't intending to give him a break. She knew that the moment she did, he'd heal up rather quickly. She needed to keep on him, hard. So she did just that. She went with the pyroplasmic hammer again, hitting him as many times as she could with it before it fizzled out and she had to go with something less draining.
She realized with some dismay that she wasn't really sure how to end this with confidence that she wouldn't kill him. She knew he was a real threat as long as he was conscious- she couldn't really stop attacking him. But at some point, she was going to start doing damage he couldn't heal permanently.
