Stealing M.I.T.

M.I.T....

Top scientists at MIT had been researching new technologies, including the development of software which could handle pan-dimensional level calculations.  The projected applications had been hailed as revolutionary by the likes of Tony Stark and Reed Richards...

Which made it the perfect target for the continuing crimes of the Lethal Legion.   Sabertooth, the Owl, the Radioactive Man, and Mentallo had been sent to retrieve it.

The attack quickly made the news.

Fortunately, the local super-heroes, the New Mutants, were not far away in New Jersey...

This Mentallo, at least, had never fought Sara's mother, and was glad of it. Against more powerful telepaths or telekinetics, his abilities were rather sub-par.

But he could still detect minds, and when he detected Aiden's, he used his tk powers to hurtle the car at him.

Aiden got wide-eyed at the car flying at him. He dove and rolled out of the way, feeling the thin air of the car just missing him. The Mojoworlder kept moving toward the telepath. He needed to be closer to see if he could be blinded.

He also thought dirty thoughts to see exactly what the telepath was picking up. He hoped the mental image of the bar's bathroom after a rock concert was not wasted.

Mentallo made a disgusted face. "Why... why would you be thinking about that?!"

Aiden went visible as a hard light bat appeared in his hand. "Thought I would share!"

He tried closing the distance to get a good swing at Mentallo's head. Hopefully the bar's bathroom had bought him enough time.

Barely in time, Mentallo erected a telekinetic force field. It blunted, but did not totally disperse, the force of the blow. He was knocked back, hard.

"Damn you!" He lashed out with a TK force bolt.

"Unf!" It was hard to dodge something sent mentally his way, but Aiden tried. It still caught him in the side and sent him back a bit. The light bat disappeared as he raised a hand.

He had done this before. When an evil Hana had been attacking him. He willed his hand to be surrounded by a blindingly bright light. Or what he assumed was one since it didn't really affect his eyes. Then he made a strobe effect to help with the disorientation.

Mentallo stumbled backwards awkwardly. The bright, strobe lights made it impossible to concentrate enough to use his powers.

Aiden would have laughed had he not been busy dropping the bright for a hard-light staff. He twirled it adeptly in his hand out of reflex to test its heft. Finding no problem with its heft, he swung an end to smack Mentallo upside the head.

"And a stick-fu to you."

POW!

The light-staff hit hard, knocking him to the ground. He struggled to get back to his feet, or to concentrate enough to use his powers on his attacker.

Aiden kept up his attack. Though he was going to help Mentallo get up. He swept his staff to try to smack the telepath on his itty, bitty (hopefully) glass chin.

Mentallo made a noise that was probably something like "Urk!" when the staff connected. He tilted up with the force of the blow, then landed hard on his back, out cold.
