Eva was on one of the top floors of the mostly evacuated Worthington Building. Although it had been built by her great-great-grandfather, around the turn of the 20th century, the structure had been retrofitted since, even using some not of this world technology and materials from her father's X-Men contacts. Still, this storm was unlike anything she'd ever seen, and she eyed the windows with concern.

She clutched her mostly useless phone as she paced. Even with a satellite uplink, the signal was very unreliable now. The satellite internet wasn't much better, but it was functioning for now. She watched as the last of the important data from the building servers was backed up to the Worthington locations in San Francisco and New Mexico, then switched the feed to a live stream of the Weather Channel.
