The rapidly shrinking Fury Demon managed to elude Stephanie's lance's first strike by dint of its rapidly shrinking but she was able to reorient herself and stab at it again with a swift and powerful thrust, putting all her musclepower behind it.

Stephanie's anger was rapidly dissipating, even though she had a huge amount of energy built up in her. She just wanted this over with so she could take her husband home.
