TV Killed the Radio Star (Open to Mansion Folk)

He really did not want to, but Dolemeck honestly felt he had no choice but to finally give in and be a part of the reality TV show based on his Father. All he would have to do is act, right? Pretend they were a happy family, that his parents were not addicts, and he was a good son going to a good school in the States. But when the cameras were not filming? It was complete chaos.

The damn thing had not aired, yet. They had only three episodes in full, and needed another nine before the Summer ended. Producers kept trying to tell him to be more "interesting", even trying to set him up with some starlet his age for publicity. He thankfully knew well enough to turn that down, but everything else he did. He performed music for the cameras, ate meals with his folks, then at the end of the day... take a cab back to the mansion.

After the cab dropped him off inside the gates of the mansion, Dolemeck decided to take a bit of a walk before heading inside. It was only dusk, and there was still some light on the grounds to enjoy. Despite it being the Summer, he had on his leather coat, matching pants, and a long sleeved white shirt. If anything, he appeared more ready for winter than anything else.

"Far from the weirdest name I've heard," Sean said with a shrug. "Eh, don't worry about the cashier. She knows me, but I can be hush-hush if it makes ya feel better."

"Photographers?" Sean caught a glimpse of the shot. "Why is-never mind. Follow me. Susie, mind if we head out back?"

"Go ahead, hon," the cashier said with a wink.

"This way, Sean urged with a hand wave. "We can head out the back and down this winding alley. Takes you out by a coffee shop. SHould be able to lose your admirer there."

"Reality tv? Never got into that stuff," Sean admitted.

When they were in the clear, Sean responded. "Sure, no problem. Rose would kick my ass if I didn't lend a student a hand," he said with a chuckle.

That got him laughing.

"Oh lord, I can just picture her yelling about kicking "yer keister"!" Sean laughed, a fond smile on his face.

"I may be a glutton for punishment, but I've always found that look to be really endearing."

"I admit, it has made me weak in the knees," Sean confessed, finding himself quickly warming up this guy. "She's one of a kind."

He waves that off. "Don't worry, Rose's ego isn't that hard to damage..granted I still wouldn't say that within earshot of her."

"Remind me to tell you the story of the time she chased after me for six hours." The levity left Sean's tone when he heard what Dolemeck said. "Say what?" Rose hadn't said anything about that.

"Ah, yeah I remember those days." He'd still have to ask Rose later.

He raised an eyebrow at that, but said nothing for the moment. "I grew up with Rose. At this point I've got a good grasp what I can and can't get away with."

"Ha! Ain't that the truth!" Sean laughed hard at that. it was very true. Rose was tiny, but with the appetite of a horse.

"Heh, careful. After awhile you'll probably find me obnoxious," Sean playfully warned.

"Depends on if she's in the mood for a friendly ass-kicking," Sean replied. The other guy's enthusiasm was pretty overblown. He must really have a lot he'd rather not think about. "So what were you up to before the press butted in?"

Sean didn't know quite how to respond to that.

"My folks are pretty abnormal, but I wouldn't have them any other way. Normal's a pretty subjective word," he admits with a shrug,
