The test results weren't changing. The little parasitical organism growing inside Alexa wasn't going away. The hormones were getting worse, as evidenced by Alexa's keen strategy of kicking Remi in the nuts to rescue him from a really bad situation. She had also noticed a slight...bump going on where her stomach was and guessing by Remi's near inability to look up from her chest these days she was pretty sure that her stomach wasn't the only thing that had swollen.

There was no denying it now. Alexa was with Atlantean spawn. Do they make booties for wingy feet?

"Remi?" she peeked in at him. He'd been having a lot of Tank Time since the whole ball-kicking incident.

"Is that so? Hm. The Remi Chair does sound so much more comfortable than watching you float around...and if you get me dirty you'd have to clean me up..."

"Just so," he answered. Remi gently grabbed her hand and held it.

"Though I do admit I'm pretty damn good at getting you dirty."

Alexa squeezed his hand lightly and smiled.

"You do. You're a dirty, dirty man, Remi. What am I going to do with you?"

He guessed she meant that as a rhetorical question. However, it did not stop his facade from cracking just a little.

"Keep me." His voice grew a little more tender. "Or at least I hope you do."

"I have no plans to ever let you go," she whispers.

He smiled without tentativeness or guile. He turned more in his chair and leaned closer. He placed the hand not holding hers softly against her stomach.

"You and our baby are the only sure things I have. I don't... I don't want to lose either of you." Despite his not-wise yet effective plan to get everyone else out of a dimension full of evil faerie things.

"I'm a Stark. The baby's part-Stark. It's going to take one hell of an effort to dislodge either of us from being pains in your ass, Remi," she teased gently then covered his belly-based hand with her own.

"We are yours, Remi. We're not going anywhere. We...we are your family here. This is our family."

"I..." He got a little misty-eyed at that. He tried to cover it up by placing a kiss on Alexa's cheek.

"I'm honored." After he said it, he looked a little dismayed the royal formality crept in. "Also, getting out of my depth in this conversation apparently."

"So am I, honestly," she said quietly and squeezed his hand tightly. "I guess we just have to keep each other afloat."

"I won't let you drown, Alexa." He meant more than water, but it still would look bad if the Crown Prince of Atlantis let his woman go under and not come back up.

He glanced up to see to servers coming out with their bags of food. "C'mon. Let me help you up."

Remi was very not sure how steady her legs were after the earlier emotional instability.
