Where Devils Cheer to Tread (Open to all X-Peeps)

There was always a feeling of warmth and camaraderie that exuded from the Xavier Institute. It wasn't that it felt like home, because home was with her dad, who was probably the most awesome dad in the history of dadhood, but the Institute - and the mansion that housed it - always felt like a warm, safe place for Margaret Jacqueline Murdock. Possibly because that's where she'd spent her summers, learning to hone her mutant powers, and making friends who could understand what it was that she was going through.

Though she didn't visit the school much during the school year - Mags attended a boarding school up in Connecticut - she sometimes tried to stop by for a day or so during their week-long spring break. often spending the others with her father, usually operating as Daredevil's trusty sidekick, Acrobat.

Once the gates let her in, she parked her barely-used yellow Vespa and skipped up the steps to the Institute, a friendly smile gracing her pretty features. She wasn't sure if any of the X-Men were around, or if there was trouble brewing somewhere, but given that her dad was busy with some case or another, Mags had decided to pay them a visit. After all, when he got involved in a case that had nothing to do with being Daredevil, there was every chance that he wasn't liable to suit up for an adventure, and Mags still wasn't allowed to go out in costume on her own.

And so here she was, ringing the doorbell.

" 'Cause old people in college sure are tryin'," Porthos surmised as he set his chair down on all fours with a thud. He hopped off the chair.

Brianna laughed at Porthos' interpretation of her words, then looked to Mags.

"Basically it's just to say that you're going to give something a shot, even if you don't really know how. Not sure how university came into it but it makes it sound good." she said, finishing up her sandwich.

"Whooooaaa." Porthos had to catch himself from poking at the floating plates as they passed by.

"Awesome laziness factor."

Brianna saw the telekinesis and held up a hand to high-five Maggie.

"That's awesome. My mum has telekinesis, too!" she said, before realizing how dorky that sounded.

"But yes, I'm familiar with it." she said with all the English dignity she could muster.

Brianna smiled. "Yes, Elizabeth Braddock-LeBeau is my mum. Remy LeBeau is my dad. They're Psylocke and Gambit to a lot of people." she said.

And they had a lot of enemies. Tons. Brianna had heard about a few of them...like an evil ninja cult. Then there were the Guilds.

Porthos settled back on his chair. He scratched his cheek with a finger. He bet Magster had a famous parent of some sort. Not that he could remember who. Or if it was mentioned to him.

"Must be awesome," he commented. "I used to say I was the love-child of Kermit and Miss Piggy. Got tired of the felt questions though."

"Daredevil? I've heard a little bit of him." Brianna said, nodding. She'd heard more than a little bit, based on her mother's stories of the Hand but this wasn't the place or time for that kind of talk.
