Mira bit her lip as she stopped the bike, looking at the building that resided at the address she had gotten. This is stupid I shouldn't still be in New York I should have left already. She thought as she touched the band strapped to her wrist.

"Right, only one way to get this done." Mira slid off the bike, leaving it in that mode, wouldn't do to start a war with the people she wanted as allies because of a misunderstanding. Hitting the com button she waited until someone answered.

She slid out of her leather jacket, putting it over her lap as she sat down showing a three inch white band on her wrist. "The project I was involved with four months ago dealt with alien tech, I still don't know what one, the database I have is still stubborn about giving up information. Thing is, the bike... I've spent the last four months keeping it away from them. And I don't even know if they're human or something else, with what I've seen from the files it could be, I still can't understand everything or figure out how I was able to rebuild it."

"Four months is a long time to be on the run, Miss Greson. You must be at your wit's end," Nicky sympathized. "Please make yourself comfortable. I assure you that you're safe inside the gates of this property." As Nicky said this, Jarvis entered the room, bearing a tray that held a steaming hot pot of tea with an assortment of tea bags, lemonade with lemon-and-mint infused ice chips, as well as an assortment of small finger sandwiches and cookies.

As Jarvis set the food down, Nicky stared at the white band for a long moment before looking up to meet Mira's eyes again. "This project...was it a government project? SHIELD? AIM? Someone else?" If the Avengers were going to help out, they needed a place to start investigating. "I assume that this database you're speaking of is somehow linked to that band on your wrist."

"Could say that. I had hoped they'd back off once I had hit Philly." When Jarvis entered she took note of him managing not to tense.

"Government project." She tried to remember all the details. "No wait joint project with private sector and the military. It wasn't S.H.E.I.L.D. I probably would have been picked up before I made it this far if it was. The project was out near Mirror Lake." She nodded. "It's a minicomputer, and the database that it has in it are incomplete, mostly it just has the programming to run the bike."

"Are the bike and the band of alien origin themselves, or is it just the database that you've managed to link up to the band?" He wasn't a techy guy himself, being from Asgard, but he'd learned to manage on Midgard.

"Yes, well... Bike has some parts from Earth. Had to disguise it after all, it's, well guess the easy way to define it is an armor. The mode it's in now is just easier to transport. But both are alien. So was the rest or the wreckage that we were going through." She rubbed the back of her neck. "That stuff was probably destroyed when the warehouse we were working out of went up. I had already slipped out with the bike and the computer by then. Intending to get it away from the group."

"Except the group caught on and now they're following you for the fun alien toys they believe you've stolen from them." Nicky felt as though he was starting to get the gist of what had happened.

"Stole's a harsh word." She nodded though. "Keeping it from them because well... some of the weapons that I disabled... I'd rather not see anyone use them in any area. NO one in their right mind would use them within four thousand miles of any civilization."

"I was speaking from their perspective, Miss Greson, not my own, though I apologize for any insult on my end." Nicky generally wasn't the sort of person to insult or speak down to anyone. He was too nice for that sort of thing.

"I assume these were weapons of mass destruction?"

She nodded. "Could wipe out large cities. I'm still weeding through the information, the minor weapons are active, most they can do is stun someone and electrical interference, but everything lethal I shut down, even removed parts, which are scattered around the country. Knowing engines comes in handy for that." She glanced towards the door. "The dangerous parts I kept, not wanting them to be found. None of it is radioactive." She tapped the band on her wrist activating a small holo screen. The writing was in some strange language. "DK, translate to English, American." She said letting the file feed through.

"A lot of this is history, which I'm still going through but..." She found the vid that was in the computer that she wanted and activated it. "Apparently this was a test run on some asteroid." She let the vid play, showing that it took time to power up the weapon, but when it was used the rock was completely destroyed. "That's what I saw when I made the choice to run with the bike. If they could figure it out... I'd rather not see this in action."

Nicky silently watched the video, not surprised by the destructive power of the weapon, but horrified by it.

"Is there a way for you to transfer that video to me? I think that some of the more tech-savvy Avengers might want to take a look at that." He paused and considered something for a moment. "You don't need to worry, by the way. You'll have the Avengers help in regards to this matter. I can assure you of that."

She nodded. "I can send it." She bit her lip a moment. "I can give you locations to where I hid everything too." She looked up. "Now you know why I've been on the run that long. There's no way I want this in the hands of anyone who would actually use it."

"I'd appreciate that information," Nicky nodded. "It will certainly come in handy in keeping that out of other people's hands," he added. When possible, Nicky would send a few teammates to help locate and pick up some of the things. "Meanwhile, I don't think I'd be remiss in saying that we can fix up a guest room for you. Keep you safe here for awhile until things blow over."

She nodded. "Pretty sure I hid them well enough. Most of the places I stopped it wasn't that hard to find places I was sure wouldn't move."

She seemed to think that over a moment. "Would probably be better than trying to run again. Thank you." She chewed her lip a moment.

"Don't mention it," Nicky smiled at her. "I should probably round up the other Avengers though, and come up with a game plan of some sort. Before whoever's after you starts combing over the way you came."

Mira nodded. "I'd like to help if I can... I mean stop them. I'm not a fighter, but I can't stand by and let everything happen without trying to help." She looked up at him.
