Mission Time (Sammy and Joe)
The information on Nick Fury's desk read like the sum of all fears. In the midst of everything happening around the world, both mutant and non-mutant related, someone had been working under the radar to obtain equipment for a weapon of mass destruction. They were smart enough to not hit the major production hubs, like Stark or Fujikawa, and had settled for going to second or third-rate sources for what they were looking for. But when certain items popped up on watch lists throughout the world, SHIELD got wind of the information long before anyone else did.
This wasn't big enough to warrant a heavy-hitter response but it was too big to send rookie agents on. Big team would tip the bad guys off from ten miles away and make them adjust their plans but he couldn't spare Sharon, Maria or any of his top agents. So Fury thought of the next best thing and pressed the alert beacon on his desk for two agents he was sure could get the job done.
Sammy's and Joe's phones would receive simulatneous texts indicating that the proverbial ballon had gone up and that they were to report to the Helicarrier within one hour for debriefing and deployment.
Mission time.

But an emergency was an emergency. She presented herself as ordered, waiting in the ready room next to his office on the helicarrier.

"Hey, Shrimp. What's up?" he asked, looking to his best buddy.

"By the way, Roxanne says hello."

"How's she doing? I hear things are getting crowded over there."

"Luckily, it doesn't matter what he thinks. How are things with you and Marcus?"

"You could always send Uncle Cap over to lecture him. He'll either leave and get his own place, or join a seminary."

The Armory
He found a pair of pistols he liked and requested them.

Re: The Armory
"And guns are good. Knives are awesome but they only work in close-quarters most times. So...everything okay with the colonel?" he asked.
Re: The Armory
"The colonel is fine. He likes to remind me what happens if I get caught, and that I have clearance to do whatever needs to be done. Agent Fury, Licensed to Do The Necessary Thing. My business cards are a nightmare." That sounded good to her own ears. Joe didn't need to know exactly which mission was under discussion.

"You think this Doctor guy is gonna come along quietly?" he asked her.

Somewhere in Connecticut
Joe looked at the building in front of them, a two-story brick building in the middle of several others that looked just like it. It looked like a college and there were a few students milling about as they arrived.
"Info says he's upstairs in the Rodham building, room 322A. That's his lab. I'll go in first."

Re: Somewhere in Connecticut
"If he doesn't want to go the old-fashioned way then you come in and pull the whole 'official business' thing. You can even give him a card." Joe grinned, checking his guns.
Re: Somewhere in Connecticut
"Now is where I'd make it official and give him a card." There wasn't a smirk in sight. "And right this second I'm seeing a disturbing comparison to our dads."
Re: Somewhere in Connecticut
"Okay...if you're trying to impart an idea here, can you help me out? You want to uncuff me and give me my gun back?" he asked.
Re: Somewhere in Connecticut
She gave him a slight smile. "We try it your way, then we try it mine. I hope your way works."

In the Office
Re: In the Office
"Ehhhh...what's up Doc?" he asked Dr. Lamblin. When the scientist barely regarded him, he moved a little closer.
"Doctor Lamblin, I'm Joe Rogers, agent of SHIELD. I'm sorry to bother you but I need you to come with me." he said.
Only then did Dr. Lamblin notice him.
"Wait, I'm sorry. You're with SHIELD? I told you that I'm not going into hiding." he said sternly.

"Am I being arrested? I have rights, you know." he said.
