Rachel Grey-Ramsey pulled into Xavier's fast enough to almost clip the sides of her car on the opening gates. She didn't bother parking in the garage, abandoning her vehicle somewhere on the drive way before the house.

The Professor himself was coming back from his conference. They need to do an assessment of what went wrong and how they were going to react to it.

So far, Rachel was reacting by telekinetically flying over the front lawn while helping her cousin keep Animus under wraps.

Betsy was sleeping soundly for the first time in days, finally feeling as though the world had quieted down. Brianna hadn't called her yet but that was to be expected. Her little girl was probably having a grand old time at Xavier's.

Somewhere in the London night, she felt and heard her daughter scream in fear and pain. Betsy had only ever heard Anna scream like that once before...and she'd nearly died then.

Betsy Braddock sat bolt upright in her bed and reached out for her daughter's mind and found...nothing.

She tried to remember who else was on duty at Xavier's these days and remembered that Doug and Rachel were usually on staff.

Rachel, is Brianna all right?

Rachel had just gotten Animus powered down and was heading toward the next bit of student damage control. She blinked and stopped moving at the sudden British presence in her mind. Then she shook her head and carried on.

Psychic rapport with her child. Duh, Rachel.

Honestly, I'm not sure, Betsy. I'm sorry. There was a training accident, and Brianna got hurt. Dani's in the med lab getting her stable. Doug said there was a head wound.

There was utter silence on the other end of the link for several seconds as Betsy processed the words that every mother dreaded hearing. She wanted to berate herself for not being there for her daughter but the time for guilt and recrimination would come later.

Right now, her little girl needed her.

I'm on the first flight to the States, Rachel. Just...keep an eye on her for me. I'll find Remy.

Rachel rubbed her temple as she held back Animus testing the bars of his cage. Great minds were not supposed to split in so many directions.
