Eva is too lost in her own thoughts to immediately notice the amphetamine fueled lunatic advancing on them.

But she did notice the exploding glass.

"What... what did you do that for?"

She raised her hand to the side of her head, confused. Eva's conscious mind didn't realize it was under attack yet, but some instinct did, and kicked in her powers. The bench she was sitting on creaked and groaned as her weight increased along with her density.
