Panther's Blood Force eventually got their trans-reality portal to open again. There was some time lag and even greater distance shift between when they left and where they arrived. The five dimensionally-displace villains arrived at North Carolina's Outer Banks slightly disorientated from the journey. As they got their bearings, Blood Witch took a breath of the salty air.

She looked to the others of Blood Force. They looked hungry for action and slightly disappointed they weren't getting any right away. She took stock of their surroundings. No annoying superheroes were there yet. Which was both good and bad. Good in that they could lay a trap. Bad in that they had no one to call their prey to them.

She ran her tongue over her pointed canines. "Mm. Quiet little world here. Let's make it a little louder. Sandstorm, make this sandbox ours. Rough Justice, scout the area. Iron Maiden, Blackdog, get the authorities to come. I want a surprise for the soon to be dead crown prince."

The escaping nuisance from last reality had probably warned Remi deNamor. Blood Force would not have much time to set things up. The little almost king would be here soon. Possibly with others to slay.

Mary pitched forward, to engulf him in her blobby form.

Before he was completely surrounded, Blackdog took in a deep breath. Then it was amoeba everywhere. So much amoeba. He scratched at the blobby form around him with his claws, tried to take bites of it with his teeth, and generally tried to be an irritating nuisance to hold onto.

Okay, she could hold this... she could hold this... he had to stop breathing sometime...

Blackdog kept at it, though his rakes and bites were diminishing in power. Though since he had one more weapon at his disposal.

He peed into the amoeba goop surrounding him.

...Okay, seriously? Who does that?!

Mary shifted away from him, pulling up into a towering dragon form.

"What the flarg, guy?!"

Blackdog flopped down on the sand. He tried to catch his breath around his amused chuckles. He rolled to his feet and eyed the dragon.

"When you gotta go... why not use it to get loose." He smirked and waited for her nest move.

"...I really didn't want to do this, but well..."

She breathed a stream of fire at him.

Blackdog did not try to run away from the stream of fire coming at him. Instead, he stood up as straight as possible and opened his arms. He grinned as he welcomed the burning pain coming down on him.

Okay, seriously creepy.

Mary poured on some more flames.

What was red, black, crispy, and creepy all over?

Currently, it was Blackdog. Eventually the pain got too much even for his pleasure and he staggered sideways to get out of the flames.

Okay, she was actually starting to feel a little sick about this. Because she was not, by nature, a violent person. But how did you deal with somebody who got their rocks off on pain?

She let the flames stop for a moment, preparing to shift into another form at a moment's notice.

The crispy critter coughed and tried to blink lidless eyes. Basking in the fire had done a number on him. He waved a hand weakly.

"Gimme a minute, sweetcheeks." He had not burned his vocal cords away.

"...Really? All that and you're still standing?" Mary couldn't believe it.

She swatted him with her tail.

The swat sent Blackdog flat, making him hiss as sand got in his wounds.

"C'mon. Get the prince dead," he muttered as he weakly struggled to try to get to his feet.

Mary transformed into a large, rock-skinned ape and hit him again. "STAY DOWN, YOU FREAKING PSYCHOPATH!"
