Who's Fooling Who?
The lights of the posh nightclub she was in were actually hurting her eyes, enough Alisa had to take out a pair of shades from her front dress pocket and put them on. She had lost a fair amount of business since mutants were exposed in the news. Everything she had worked so hard for was just falling apart. Worst of all, Alistaire just appeared fixated on taking out his Father. Almost to the point she felt ignored or completely... useless? She was his sword. And right now, he seemed more content to have her sit about and collect dust. Or at least that is how she felt right now.
Holding a martini in hand, Alisa sat back in the VIP area contemplating life. She was trained to destroy her enemies with brute force or make them wish they were dead. Trained to be the perfect, prim and proper girl for high society. But what had it given her? Misery? A lack of pop culture that made her act like an old hag? Never really letting loose and having REAL fun?
As she thought deeper on all of this, her eyes shot to the dance floor.

Suddenly and without warning, she leaned over to Ryan and gave him a kiss on the cheek. She was still... somewhat new to kissing, and did not want to try at something she was not good at. Perhaps that was just to perfectionist part of herself talking.

But it wasn't like there was a lot that Ryan did with their permission anyway.
He blinked when the kiss happened, though. Ryan hadn't been expecting that. Honestly, this night was becoming one full of surprises.
"What...what was that for? Not that I mind, because, yay, but..." Blink. Blink blink. "God, I suck at this sometimes."

She was babbling. Alisa frowned at herself. While she showed herself to others as someone who did not care about what others thought of her, or some badass in her job as Alistaire's "sword" and a top art authenticator, in private she sometimes did feel weak. Things did bother her and she could be vulnerable like any other person. And now she was showing that to some... stranger. Well... a cute stranger.
"I'm sorry, I didn' mean to make dis into an awkward situation. It's jus' ... you seem to like seein' me for me. Not some bitch who can t'row bartenders about an' be tough all de time."

Winking, Alisa leaned over and gave him another kiss on the cheek. " 'sides, I kinda like you, t'ough we just met. I mean, I'd hang out wit' you again. Don' know why dat gal even LEFT you all by your lonesome! Oh well, she missin' out, now!"

Tentatively, Ryan reached out and twirled a lock of Alisa's hair between his fingers. "If nothing else, I'm kinda glad I met you."

Her appearance at disgust over how people would be dumb enough to create a dangerous situation for someone to rescue soon faded. She just watched his hand twirling with lock of her long auburn colored hair.
"I'm glad... I met you, too. VERY glad." There was a smile on her face that not even the hulk could punch off at this point. "An' jus' for de record, if I DO ever get into trouble dat I can' get out o'... you be de first call I made. But don' sit by dat phone all night, it ain' gonna 'appen."

"It could be interestin' ..."

This was about needing something else.
"Ohhh."

Alistaire would be proud if he saw how she was now able to work her womanly charms on people. But at this moment, she could care less. She liked Ryan, and wanted to spend more time with him.
"What say you?"

After starting her car once more and revving the engine, she drove off with Ryan in tow, heading for her Loft in Manhattan. While the start of this night was rocky, it appeared as though it was going to end on a better note than she had hoped for.
