A Gift Of Blood And Steel (Open to Mansion Folk)
WHO: Stephanie Shaw, Others
WHAT: Stephanie Shaw is taken by Vargas and left out for the people at the Mansion to find.
WHERE: The Mansion gate
WHEN: Early morning
WARNING: Description of trauma and violence.
Stephanie Shaw had called a press conference with as many media outlets as she could access- while it was nominally to clear the air about her legal situation involving Shaw Industries, many wags suspected that she would be admitting to being a mutant like her brother. No doubt it would have been a very dignified moment, well-rehearsed and delivered with equal measures of honesty and tact. Vargas had actually taken the speech off of her. It was impressive enough and had she been able to say those words on a wide stage, they may have had some impact.
She'd never got to the presentation to deliver her message. Vargas had seen to that with his men. A toxin, administered with minimal force through a mere scratch from his blade had removed her mutant powers temporarily, leaving her effectively helpless. Ironic that a woman that could have survived a fall from the top floor of the Empire State Building would be so vulnerable to such a slight wound. But he knew her fiendish powers well, had seen them at that party. Taking her was not difficult. The driver and the attendant had to be slain, but their deaths were quick, virtually painless. It was up to God to judge them now.
He'd made sure she was conscious as far as he could, for the process of making her a suitable gift for her alma mater. She'd tried her best to be defiant, but she was too used to shallow scrapes and minor bruises to be at all prepared for the sensation of dislocation, of cutting. It was important that she be left alive, so he could not use his blade too liberally- and it was unsuitable to engage in dismemberment, as it was difficult to say how long she would be obliged to remain alive from the time she was deposited and the time she was discovered. She'd finally gone unconscious of course, and it would be easier to transport her thus.
Shinobi had said to kill her, of course, but Vargas cared not for his commandments. He had been useful in showing the way to her, no more and no less. He expected that Shinobi's boy would come to kill him and that suited him just fine. This was a holy crusade. He had been chosen as a champion, to show humanity that the mutants could be torn down, defeated.
Dislocated limbs were easier to work into the grill of the gates, a sign stating "The First Among Many" in Latin affixed to the gate above her. She was bloodied, bruised, unconscious and in serious need of medical attention, but she would survive for at least the few hours that would likely elapse between then and the time she was discovered. Twisted bits of metal were made into manacles holding her in place. He'd dressed her in white wrappings, which would slowly turn to crimson as blood seeped. And with that, he left.

Re: The Raid
They started to swarm the invaders. The weak fell quickly, and the strong continued to battle for a few minutes longer before falling. The guards seemed to come out of the woodwork, giving Alisatire, his shape-shifters, his mercenaries, and Alisa a run for their money. But it was painfully obvious that they were over-powered, despite the fact there were more of them compared to Alistaire's group. This fact just made them more dangerous, as they no longer had anything to lose.
While groups of Guards went after the Alistaire Shape-shifters (All believing they have the true Alistaire, a group swarmed Alisa, managing to tackle her down to the ground briefly. All giving Alistaire a nearly uninterupted path to Shinobi, as his guards were completely distracted now.
Re: The Raid
Specially made contact lenses would allow him to penetrate any mere tricks of the light. He could see on multiple spectrums simultaneously- all the harder for his boy to hunt him down and kill him. But ... in truth, discretion was the better part of valor and he punched the door to open up and take him into an escape tunnel.
The boy would have hell to pay for unleashing this in the city if he was ever connected to it. And if Shinobi survived ... well, he would see to that. And he would survive.
Everyone always underestimated him. They were fools to do that. He'd kill the boy himself one day.
But today, he needed to get out and survive. Alistaire had made his throw of the dice. He wouldn't have the resources to attempt it again so easily.
Re: The Raid
He makes it to Shinobi's office in time to see the door to the tunnel shut. He tries to wrench it open by hand, fails, and then tries to figure the access method.
Re: The Raid
"Merde! Alistaire, get to de target as quickly as possible!" She shouted into her com, using the voice manipulator to keep her gender disguised. The next thing heard over the com was a cry of pain, as one of Shinobi's guards managed to stab her in the side.
The guard actually knew to by-pass her body armor to get a good jab in to her side. He then reached for his gun, no doubt planning to take her out for good. Alisa reacted as fast as she could and elbowed the man who stabbed her. She hit him so hard in the head, that his neck fractured. Holding her side, she quickly armed herself with the fallen guard's gun and began taking kill shots at anyone coming towards her. She was not going to go down without a fight, and she was going to protect Alisatire as best she could.
Re: The Raid
The boy could enjoy his triumph for a day or two, but he'd emerge victorious soon enough. He just needed a little patience ... he keeps the special glasses operating, scanning around, blade drawn. Of course he isn't here, but one could always stand to be a little careful ...
Re: The Raid
A few of the guards realized that the main tank for Alistaire's crew was injured, and started to go and focus on taking them out. This was a foolish move, as she was firing back and killing quite a few of them, while the other members of Alisatire's crew took advantage of this. The first floor was quickly turning into a blood bath, as was the second floor of the mansion.
A majority of the casualties were on Shinobi's side, now. This had turned into a suicide mission.
Re: The Raid
It will be the last thing he hears before a palmed blade darts out from underneath his vehicle and severs his Achilles' tendon. As he buckles under the strike, a round of small arms fire will take out his other kneecap.
Alistaire, dirty and dressed in tactical gear, pulls himself from underneath the car. The driver had already been dispatched and one of his men put in place to avoid any disruption.
"Don't bother trying to phase away." A shot to the hand disarms Shinobi of his blade. "Vibranium tips, and low-powder yield to make sure they embed instead of passing through. You're done here, Father."
Re: The Raid
"Very clever boy. At least I had the guts to face your grandfather face to face." Shinobi looked at him, the certainty of death washing away much of his cowardice, his miserable failure. He even looked sober, and Shinobi Shaw hadn't been sober for years, not completely.
He's not sure if he can do it ... but he's going to damn well try. Hard and swift as he can, the blade flashes towards his own belly. All the damned boy can do now is finish him off.
Re: The Raid
He takes the last step closer, and pulls up Shinobi's head. "Finally. It took this many years, but you did something I can respect. I'm proud to be your second. Goodbye, Father."
And Alistaire Shaw slits his father's throat, keeping the wound away from his clothes.
He comes back to his feet, and takes out a phone. "Teleport crew, move in. Full evac, live personnel and corpses. Two live and two dead to evac from my location as well." Shinobi's body will come with him. He won't have any sort of cybernetic resurrections or last minute miracles of science on his watch.
Re: The Raid
"Boss, are you alright? Any injuries?" She asked, hissing as she moved closer to him.
Re: The Raid
In the next few seconds, the house, the tunnels and everything around would be convulsed in a sudden series of fiery explosions, including one on Shinobi's body itself, which would blast him utterly to smithereens.
Re: The Raid
The blast was pretty bad, and her quick actions would ensure that her boss walked away unscathed, hopefully. Possibly shaken, but not injured. herself, however... because she used up her powers battling Shinobi's thugs, Alisa ended up taking quite a bit of damage. It felt like her right leg was hanging on by a thread, and she was coughing and gasping behind her tactical helmet. She had never been in so much pain her entire life.
"Boss... mon dieu... Boss... please tell me you're okay. Please..."
Re: The Raid
His teleporter arrives a moment later. "Sir, orders?"
Alistaire forces himself to his feet. "Xavier's. Medical attention is necessary."
They all arrive at the front gate, moments later.
Re: The Raid
At least Alisatire was able to get up and on his feet. That meant she did her job. Though seeing his leg was torn open some made her feel like she should have done better. Now her thinking was starting to get... hazy.

Ray sent out a continuous telepathic suggestion for all students to look away from her. The last thing she needed was Selene's puppydog to traumatize the students. Then the telepath went out to the gates.
She looked at the teleporter. "Leave."
She used her tk to attempt to pick up the two wounded mutants and use her powers to stop the flow of blood out. This was against her better judgement, but she would take them inside the mansion.

He turns to Rachel. "I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.... Miss... Mrs?" He runs a hand over his face, trying to clear his head as the blood loss had already started taking effect. "Mrs Phoenix. I didn't think a normal hospital would be able to help my assistant... Needed place... someplace secure."

Alisa was no longer speaking, her leg was literally hanging off her body. The blast appears to have nearly cut it off right below her knee, and the shrapnel just tore apart her upper thigh pretty bad. She was in worse shape than Alistaire, but that was due to her actually using her body as a shield to protect her boss, someone who was rather important to her. There was also the stab wound to her side, but it was not as deep.
