Kayla wasn't going to lie- she was a little annoyed by the staring as well. It wasn't as if they were doing anything scandalous- there'd been one cheeksmooch and a little handholding. But people seemed to still find the notion of two girls on a date together to be some massive, titillating aberration.
"It's pretty amazing." Kayla grinned, and then she heard Brianna speak and she swore she felt herself melt a little bit at it. She reached back out to take Brianna's hand, feeling it was important.
"It's easy to be good to you, because you're awesome. And you've been through a lot too. I'm just, it's really great to see you happy, you know? I was worried after everything that had happened. And if I did that, well, I don't regret a damn thing." Her soft smile turned into a smirk.
