Administrivia ((Open to any who want to see the new Xavier's Headmaster))
Rachel was in the middle of remodeling what was now her office. Xavier has finished up the semester and given her the office as hers. Though she currently had no clue how to decorate it. So things were looking a little bare with her desk and two chairs across from it for adornment.
She had plans for the estate on her desk. She sat in her chair and pinched the bridge of her nose. There were pages of the requirements for a being a certified school scattered on the floor behind her. She had posted about her open office before the summer semester began.
The redhead didn't know if having visitors would be a blessing or not.

"Come in," she beckoned as the door opened. She looked back at the bare wall and momentarily bit her lower lip.

"I come bearing welcome gifts!"

She glanced down at the wooden box and tupperware container. She had to smile at the gifts and patented Mojoworlder enthusiasm. "What sort of gifts?"
no subject
"Well, nothing for the wall, but I thought you might like them anyway." She carefully set the boxes down on the edge of the desk and handed over the tupperware first. "I made you a fresh batch of shortbread cookies. Plain, orange, and lemon ones."
Then she turned to the wooden box and opened the latches, lifting the lid. "And since they go so well with tea, I thought you might like this..."
Inside the box was an antique tea serving set. The delicate porcelain was painted with cherry trees in full bloom with snow-capped mountains in the background.

"Thank you very much, Hana. I'm sure these will be delicious, and the tea set useful and lovely." She smiled. And put a protective tk bubble around the shortbread container. Hers, dammit.
"The shortbread does remind me, I had something I needed to talk to you about."

She settled into her own chair. "So, I know you've become the master of the kitchen with Kayla aiding you in cooking. With the fall semester, we'll probably have a large increase in enrollment. So, I wanted to see if you wanted to fill an official staff spot in running the cafeteria for the students. You are a phenomenal cook, but you'd have to learn how to translate that in bulk and make sure we'd hit nutritional regulations for schools. We'd hire staff to help out and/or have more students like Kayla help you in the kitchens."

Then she turned her attention to Rachel and listened as the new headmistress laid out her idea. It sounded like a pretty good deal to her. "I don't see why not. I just have to make sure I can make time for Zach and Jeremy, still. I guess I'd probably have to have some kind of certification or something, too, huh?"
no subject
"You can read and sign this at your leisure. Or bring it back and we can discuss any changes you would like to make. After the remodel, you'll have a larger kitchen to work in."
no subject
"I'll look them over tonight. Thank you!"

She grinned at the compliment. "Thanks. Look out for poachers with those cookies. Shortbread doesn't last long around here."

The redhead went mock-serious at the mention of danger to her cookies. "Not even Doug will know I have them. And if someone finds them. There will be repercussions. Unlike when my father's sports car got taken for joy rides."
no subject
"Your dad's car did seem to get the brunt of the school jokes for a while..."

Rachel commented. She liked to stay out of it and had managed to rather well. It at least wasn't as bad as the one between Logans and Hulks.
"Just be aware that changes are coming. Strict ones. Because I now have to keep this school in good standing under a massive microscope. So, please stick to dietary guidelines as much as possible while taking into account that you are feeding a bunch of ravenous teenagers with mutant metabolisms. I have faith you will, but I thought it would be a good idea to warn you."
