Follow Through With the Promise Made ((Emma Frost))
Rachel had dragged her feet on doing this long enough. As much as she hated to admit she needed help (from this woman in particular), the time-displaced woman knew she couldn't handle everything on her own. She needed more qualified staff, and she needed someone with more refined skill to help her with what Sinister had done. So, she had reached out to Emma Frost to set up a meeting at the school.
Though there was lots of construction going on all over the grounds, Rachel had her office prepared and ready. There was to be coffee or tea delivered, provided Kayla did not fall asleep on it. Rachel had an idle thought someone really needed to find out what was wrong with that girl. Hana had whipped up something on request. It would hopefully cover any taste of crow if it came to that.
Also, Rachel had canceled any psychic sessions with Stephanie. After a conversation with Miss Shaw's fiance, the redhead figured her patient wouldn't need two draining tasks in a day. Besides the fact they were also at a point where Sinister's manipulations were blocking any process. She also rescheduled the rest of her appointments. That would give Brooke another chance to try to reach Pete Eastman.
Her office was mostly put together with pictures of the two former headmasters hanging prominently on the wall facing her desk. She was as ready as she was going to be. She had instructions to let her know as soon as Emma Frost had passed through the front gate. She would greet the woman personally. Until then she worked on checking on some of the paperwork for incoming students for the fall semester.

She hadn't been at his little presentation, nor did she know his plan. She knew the man. It was more than enough.
Emma drove herself, sliding up to Xavier's in her custom Bugatti Veyron, the all white paint job bright in the late morning sun just waiting for the gear heads to come and stare. The car looked vaguely predatory on its own so she didn't worry about anyone touching it, though she dutifully locked it as she strode up to the entrance dressed conservatively but razor-sharply in tasteful creams, silvers, and whites. She'd put the days of corsetry far behind her, contrary to popular belief.
"Your request intrigues me," Emma said when Rachel came to greet her, in lieu of hello.

"That I actually made it or what's behind it?" Who needed hellos between these two? She gestured in the direction of the headmaster's office.

Emma walked toward the gestured-to office, a little bit of a smile playing on her lips.
"It's charming how you all tidied up for me. Last time I was here it smelled considerably more like a school than lemon Pledge." A slight pause, both in her words and in her movement. "I have a great deal of respect for those who are good hosts, but also for those who make good use of the classics, even when they are lemon Pledge. So, what precisely is behind your call?"
Emma sat herself down, arranging herself in the space of her chair with one leg crossed over the other, resting a hand in her lap, her blue eyes fixed on Rachel and lightly amused. Which was infinitely better than some of the alternative expressions.

"I'm told some manners are eternal no matter the point in time." She could have sat behind her cherry wood desk and continued the meeting from there. Though she didn't particularly feel the need to show off that way. She walked to the front of her desk and leaned against it. She held Emma's slightly amused gaze as the doors to her office closed.
"There are two things behind my invitation today. First, as publicly known school for mutants, our enrollment for the fall has grown. To that end, I need well-qualified staff at the school. I know you more than fit those requirements having run the Massachusetts Academy. Second, Sebastian Shaw has meddled with a former student. I need assistance undoing what he had done to her." She would leave more details until she had Emma's agreement.

Emma's eyes hardened a bit as she shifted her words towards the meddling Rachel mentioned.
"What sort of meddling has Shaw done and with whom?"

Especially considering Trevor Fitzroy was one of the Lords Cardinal, the redhead hoped Emma would join the staff. Rachel would not wish what happened to the Hellions on anyone. She would prefer it never happen again.
"He has use a sonic manipulator and the telepathic services of Mr. Sinister to try to turn his own daughter to his way of thinking. She is here to recover from what's been done. However, how much time Sinister's had and what mental traps he's laid, I frankly need your help with."

"If Sebastian has enlisted the aid of Sinister then it is a guarantee that they are trying to infiltrate the school and I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't attempting to use his daughter as a pawn in that even more than just manipulating her mind. Telepathic blocks and high level manipulations are something of my specialty. I will help in any way I can. That includes coming here to help with the school. There are very few telepaths in the world equipped to handle this sort of insanity and only one that I am aware of with the...top level experience with Sebastian Shaw to know how he ticks. You have my aid."

She paused and took a breath. She wasn't sure what sources Emma had, but Rachel thought it would be a good idea to share what she had.
"He's enlisted more than Sinister from what I read off of Stephanie with psychometry." It was easier to read events off the young woman than plumb her mind at the moment.
"Selene and Trevor Fitzroy among the others." Some she had seen, she couldn't put name to. But the black witch and man with green hair were rather easy to pick out. "I assume they have multiple routes from people who attended the party. Including Brooke Wyngarde who is studying here in the adult power education track."
There was a reason Rachel had never stipulated Brooke drop her Hellfire association. The redhead was playing a long game.
"He very well could be, but from Stephanie's reports before the incident, Sebastian had come back colder and crueler from his resurrection. And he most certainly doesn't approve of the man she's going to marry. Sebastian has found a girl he didn't spend time raising has more allegiance to someone who's kind to her. Must rankle him so."

Rachel's mention of Selene and Fitzroy had been just enough that the very tips of her fingers had gone to diamond form, the beginnings of battle mode.
"So he has the entire League of Extraordinary Assholes in his arsenal. How quaint. The only positive here is that he obviously feels that he needs to enlist his absolute best to go against his opponents. That's compliment considering that his absolute best is, at best, deeply flawed and fun to defeat. By chance do we have ways of acquiring a guest list to his adorable little, what do they call them...kegger?"

"I've created a partial list from readings off of Stephanie. Though I will ask Sage to get the list and any footage. I'm positive she'll enjoy undermining Shaw that way."
