Heavy Metal
Alisa could not stand being left alone in Alistaire's apartment all the time. While Reiko was good company, there really was nothing to do. She felt somewhat useless, a burden, and agitated by how Alistaire treated Reiko so openly. He was all over Reiko like a horny dog, confirming that her personal writings in her diary before being shot were accurate. She was nothing more than a tool to a sociopath, and she let it happen.
She was glad she could feel something, instead of the numbness that plagued her a majority of the time. But those small somethings were not enough. While Reiko and Alistaire slept in their own bedrooms, Alisa grabbed some clothes from her closet and put them on. A pair of black dress pants, a white dress shirt, and a black vest. She decided to go without her wig, thinking perhaps her new "Annie Lennox" hair-do would work for her.
With her shoes in one hand, she began to sneak out of her room. Before one of Alistaire's guards could spot her, or take her back to her room, she physically knocked him out with a single blow from her free hand. She caught the guard before he could make noise by hitting the ground, and then took his keycard from his person. Perhaps having a lack of emotions was kind of helpful, as she was now more effective in the way she went about using her powers and knowledge.
She used the keycard to get out of the apartment, as well as lock it behind her. Once outside of the apartment, Alisa slipped on her dress shoes and made her way out of the building. Not by elevator, but by using the stairs. The stairs had less of a chance of getting her detected than the elevator did... a flaw she might have to fix one of these days.
Alisa used some of her power to move faster than normal, so she could get out of the building sooner and avoid getting dragged back inside. It took her less than five minutes to get on the streets of Manhattan... and go where? Perhaps some place that would make her feel something? She remembered the taco truck she and Ryan went to one night, and decided to head in that direction.
It was not long before she was acosted by someone. Even though Manhattan was cleaned up, there were still thugs who would try to rob anyone with money about the city. Her arm was grabbed and she was pulled between two buildings.
"Hand over your wallet, freak!" The thug demanded. This only made Alisa smile... something she had not done in a long time.
"Only if you can take it..." That thug all of a sudden turned pale. That alleyway was now filled with the sounds of a pretty bad fight, only all the cries of pain and screams were male. Alisa was back in her element.

Re: No Escape
She looked at Alisa a moment. "I am getting the feeling I am missing something. Why would you be turning him in?"
Re: No Escape
"I imagined you might try. I have to say, though, I'm disappointed." He shakes his head, then raises a hand politely to the doctor.
"With all due respect, the less you know, for now, the better."
Re: No Escape
"I still hear the explosion... I still feel it in a leg that is not completely there anymore." She admitted. "I still hear the screams, as well. The guilt has started to become a burden. A SHIELD cell is starting to look more comfortable for some reason."
Re: No Escape
She'd ask again later for them to fill in the details, maybe with tea.

Re: No Escape
The glowing red implants soon turned to a teal color, meaning she was highly confused. Her hands rested on the side of her head, as he started to run his fingers through what was left of her hair.
Re: No Escape
Re: No Escape
He turns on his heel, signaling to his operatives, and walking away without looking back. "Come along."
Re: No Escape
That incident brought up feelings in her... the few she could feel. Fear, anger, hurt. While she tried to mask it with an unemotional face, her implants gave it away.
Alisa reluctantly followed behind Alistaire, looking over at Reiko as she passed her. She no longer knew who to trust...
Re: No Escape
"Ano... Alistaire-sama." She waited until they had walked a few yards from her before she spoke, turning to face them. "What are you planning in Japan? Because if I am healing a weapon to cause damage to my home country..." She stood her ground. "I will refuse to finish the job and our contract is null. I will not allow innocent people to be harmed for a conquest of power. I have been a tool for that most my life and will not allow Alisa-chan to be used in such a way."
She did cast a glance to his men as if challenging them to try to convince her to go without an answer.
Re: No Escape
"Sensei... no-one is innocent; but the people I, and Alisa by extension, will be dealing with should fall very squarely into 'not' innocent by most civilized standards you would hold.
I simply have to resolve a dispute over some of my late father's holdings. The local executors of his estate have been... obstinate."
Re: No Escape
She was contemplating getting a drink from there, but because of her emotional range being hit and miss... she really did not wish to drink and not be able to feel drunk. It could only lead to alcohol poisoning or death.
Instead, Alisa closed her eyes and relaxed. Her implants now glowing a soft green as she appeared to be... meditating? Or possibly asleep.
Re: No Escape
Moving to the car she climbed in, watching Alisa a moment before getting lost in her own thoughts, trying to sort through what she had been told by both of them.
Re: No Escape
Re: No Escape
"That was a poor choice of words, Alistaire. But right now, I do not care. My head is hurting me terribly and my heart aches. Not that you were ever one to care about me above my breathing and ability to fight for you."
Re: No Escape
Re: No Escape
There is a reason I've kept you."
Re: No Escape
"I was simply pointing out a terrible choice of words, which is unlike you. Perhaps that silver tongue of yours has begun to tarnish and dull? Are you alright?"
Re: No Escape
She already had a feeling that she was going to have a headache before the night was out though.
Re: No Escape
I'll make the arrangements."
Re: No Escape
"I am inclined to agree with you, Alistaire." She spoke softly, her voice sounding... concerned. "You are right when you state I am of no use to you in such a condition. I believe I am still suffering from the... after-math of that raid. It makes me hate and wish to place blame on you. I am unsure if that is just."
"It is like being torn in two directions at the same time, only to be torn apart in the end. It makes me more of a danger to you than those who would attack you. I need... to get better and figure out where my place is here, and what my place is with you. You were my best friend."
