Just Your Typical Evening Robbery Spectacle ((Open to Street Level-types))
Primetime punched his fist into his palm. He knew what he and his team needed to do while Propsmaster did his thing. New York City had cameras all over, so this wouldn't be that hard. He stepped out onto the sidewalk, shoving some of the pedestrians out of the way. He didn't care about the yelled protests.
The masked man saw a taxi driving down the street in front of him. He opened up a teleportation disk right under it. The other end of the disk opened above a parked car with a brunette walking toward it. She looked kinda cute, but it looked like that's where a little distracting anarchy could start.

Not that they were coming all that much in handy here.
Still, Mags stood back-to-back with Nika and worked at blocking Primetime's attacks, sneaking in bolts of fire or telekinetic punches where she could.

She fought not to stagger away from the hero at her back.

Gina jumped in the air, cracking the sidewalk when she landed.
"No fair!"
She tossed a chunk of melted lamp post at the retreating Ingenue and Gaffer.
"Youse two still owe me a cup of coffee!"
no subject
"This was just getting fun," Primetime grumbled before he disappeared. He did not reappear anywhere on the street.

She had no idea which hero this one was. She also half turned toward the walking Hawaiian destruction goddess person.
"Are you okay, Volcanic Woman?"
no subject
"Pansy-assed cowards!"
She looked down at Nika.
"They made me spill my coffee."
She glanced down even further.
"And ruined my shoes. You know how hard it is t' find Loo-bottoms in a size 17? I gotta go t' that guy in the back of the bodega in Chinatown..."
Gina sighed.
"Yeah. I'm fine."
no subject
It didn't sound particularly savory.
"There has to have been a point. To what just happened. A reason for it. Things don't just...happen."
no subject
"Veronika Sable-Preston, co-leader of the American branch of Silver Sable's Wild Pack. And if you don't buy random acts of violence," she paused and squinted for a moment, "possibly a distraction for some other crime happening."
She turned back to the tall woman and looked up. She would ignore the mispronunciation of Louboutin. Also, having been around Fin her whole life, she was used to literally looking up at subordinates.
"Are you... gainfully employed? I can't do anything about the shoes, but I can replace your coffee and cupcake if you're willing to consider becoming a mercenary under my employ."
no subject
Gina narrowed her eyes.
"Wild pack... that ain't that bar over offa 42nd street, is it?"

Then she turned her attention back to the tall volcanic woman. "A mercenary. Someone paid to protect things or people. Or as one of my employees puts it, getting paid to hit things. Sound interesting?"
She kept her face placid. While this woman didn't reek of intelligence, her powers could be useful if directed the right way.
"Not that I know of. It's what my team is called."
no subject
"Gettin' paid to hit stuff? That sounds too good to be true..."
no subject
To buy her father a gift again and then head home.
no subject
"It is true. I already have a big man on the team who gets paid to hit stuff. But the more muscle, the better." She swiped at the sweat starting to bead on her forehead.
"Can you... powerdown? Un-lava-fy? Possibly before you fall into a building's basement."
no subject
Gina looked down at herself.
"Oh. Yeah, I could, but I kinda sorta, um... burned my clothes off."
She thought for a moment.
"How's dis?"
She switched her form to metal.
no subject
"The least I can do for keeping the odds even is get you something to cover up with. Then we'll get the coffee and cupcake while you listen to my offer of more steady employment?" She started gathering up her own bags of things that had littered the sidewalk. So much for those outfits to wear on a date.
no subject
"Steady employment, huh? My mom would like the sound of that... you sure that Wild Bunch ain't a strip club or somethin'?"
no subject
"A steady check with bonuses for completion of missions. And I assure you, no stripping."

Former criminals weren't strangers to employ amongst the Wild Pack. Her mother had taken quite a few and earned their loyalty. Nika just hoped employing this woman on wasn't going to be beyond her abilities.

Gina delicately stepped out of the molten concrete before it could harden around her feet.
no subject
"Mexico is a bit easier to handle than Canada. Most law enforcement do not have a sense of humor."
no subject
Gina stepped over a long crack in the sidewalk, then helpfully kicked a chunk of concrete out of the path.
"Mexico is easier, huh? Um, what about Brazil?"
