"Dinner now. Though maybe I've got better ideas for dessert." Kayla grinned at Brianna. "We could have some cheesecake or something too, though."

Kayla was too busy at the moment, enjoying being alive and feeling alive, to have really processed all that. Needless to say, she had no suspicions about what was going on with Brianna.

"We're at a seaside restaurant. Definitely going with seafood. Fish and chips would be the classic, but this seafood linguine looks super good, actually." Kayla gestured over at the harbour behind them. "Anything that came out of there is gonna be pretty good. Also, the lobster roll."
