Camping! (Bobbi, Rose, Brianna, Tina)
The first secret to successful camping was figuring out how to pack all the stuff they needed and wanted into one little car. There would need to be at least some food brought in- fishing and berrying could supplement, but not entirely replace their own supplies, and hunting was probably not going to be happening (Kayla imagined Bobbi would despise them all if they did), along with a canoe, paddles, all of their gear, and stuff for their tent. Of course, they'd all be leaving behind all of their beloved technological gadgets (save for a GPS and a singular satellite phone for emergencies only) and most of their personal possessions (though General Tuskers and some of Bobbi's penguins were enforced bunkmates in the car's trunk). A great, great amount of very potent bug spray was brought. Sure, the mosquitoes couldn't actually pierce Kayla's skin, but the others were not so lucky, and in any case, they were incredibly annoying.
It was a long day's drive up to the site of the cabin, which was a twenty minute or so drive from anything resembling civilization (a small railroad town on the Canadian National Railway), just big enough to have it's own LCBO depot, at which Kayla, Rose and Brianna could acquire the missing portion of their camping supplies. Said finishing supplies put in the cooler, they were ready for the final drive up to the isolated area in which they would be camping for the next week.
Once reaching there, it was a quick matter of setting up the tent and scoping out the immediate site. They were nearby a lovely lake, which would hopefully have large amounts of fish in them- Kayla had her eyes set on walleye (the most edible), but she wondered if Rose was hoping to find a muskie or some big pike for more of a fishing challenge. Not that the two girls didn't both have more than sufficient strength to reel in anything they'd find in a lake.
They'd also be more than capable of dealing with any of the bears or wolves that might be around the camp. Though they'd have to be careful to keep their food safe from the raccoons.
With all the essentials taken care of, it was time to decide what they were going to do for the day.

"Beaut of a day," she said.

"This is going to be great!" She smiled brightly coming back to the others. "Think there's big fish in the lake? And I want to sleep out under the stars not in the tent tonight. Can I?"

But she didn't want her girlfriend or her friends to think she was stuck up bint. So she put on her brave face and joined the group, hoping the mosquitoes didn't enjoy her taste much.
"So...how does one fish? I've never tried it."

"There's a number of ways to do it, depending. We've got fishing rods, bait and lures though. Basically, you just cast the line into the water, wait and then frantically pull it back if you get a bite.
A lot of people just do catch and release, but if it's something good, like perch or pickerel, we're totally turning it into dinner."

Sorry derp forgot to track it.
"And the best part of fishing is cooking the fish!" She grinned, there were some other steps missing, but she got the important ones right?
Re: Sorry derp forgot to track it.
"And damn right. Chef Connors is gonna blow all your minds with her fish recipes." Her smirk broadened into a giant grin. "You'll start redefining 'fishy' as a good thing.
But first we gotta catch the little bastards. We should get on that."

Blackflies are the WORST, too. Those girls better put on the bugspray.
"The rest of you should probably get some of the Deep Woods stuff on, though. It's not too buggy here, but by the lake, it's probably gonna be the harsh Kingdom of the Blackfly."
Re: Blackflies are the WORST, too. Those girls better put on the bugspray.
She gestured toward the lake. "C'mon. There's fish ta catch and beer ta drink."

"All right, ladies. Let's do this. Is this where I yell something about a man named Leeroy?" she asked.

Thought it was a boy named sue?"

Animals, mostly, but also people. Most of them were poor prey. A bear was strong, deer were swift. Most humans were useless.
But this? This looked promising. He could smell the mutant on these ones. And one of those girls had a very, very familiar scent. Birdy. He'd liked Birdy, kept her alive. But she died on him just like they all did.
They were pretty, too, for little brats. Their deaths would make a nice message. Though he'd keep the one alive. For old time's sake, if nothing else.
Victor remained silent, his scent well covered with a concoction of his own making. He'd decided he'd take one of the girls, leave them as a trap for the others. But which one?
Maybe the little girl with the wings, but she never seemed to be alone.
The next one to wander off, anywhere.
He'd get that one.

Strange, though. Her intuition was playing up a little. But there was nothin' dangerous out here. She'd smell it coming a mile away.

Why did she have to do dishes? Because she was a good person, she liked to think.
She looked over at Rose for a moment. "Something up?" She looked as if something were slightly off. Other than possibly needing to go into town to get more ... "supplies", she imagined everything was just about perfect.
"Snow Devil go off sketching?"
