SHIELDed From View ((Mustering SHIELD agents))
Tracking HYDRA activity was a full-time job for some. While New York had been relatively quiet except for a few blips that had been chased after, more solid intel had come from Colombia. It seemed something big was happening there. Some of the faces identified were from the attempted assassination of Silver Sable a few years ago. While Sammy Fury's team had caught most of that nest in New York City, a few had slipped their grasp.
So, with names and a location, a mission was ordered. Summons were sent out to a small team of agents. A room in the Helicarrier awaited their arrivals.

He nodded politely to Joe as he took his seat. "Agent Rogers," he said. "How's the shield working out? I was thinking about it, and I might be able to put some controls in it so that you could operate it remotely..

"Agent Rogers or U.S. Agent. Nice to meet you." Joe said, offering a hand. "Good work the other day. I'm glad it didn't worse than it was."
He saw Simon and grinned.
"It's good so far, man. Thanks. I'm trying to learn how to use it the old-fashioned way but a remote control could really help in the meantime." Joe said.

"Hello," Steve said, his voice curt.

"Good morning, agents. Take a seat. This is a SECRET mission briefing." She paused to let them settle in.

Joe gave a nod to Sammy, though he didn't call her by her nickname "Shrimp". This was a professional meeting and there were other agents available. He had time during the flight to tease her.
And check up on her.
"Yes, ma'am." Joe said, taking his seat. He wondered where they were going but Agent May, aka "The Cavalry", would let them know. She was one of the best in the business.
Yeah, this felt good.

"Understood, ma'am," Simon said.

She nodded in response and prepared to take notes.

She stuck her finger in one of the maps and spread her hands out to enlarge it. Once it was the right size, she brought up profile pictures and grainy surveillance shots of a decrepit hotel with activity happening around it. "We suspect this is the core of a local nest, one focused on some sort of experiment. One of the people identified," she tapped on the portrait of a gaunt, bald man to bring up a large picture of him, "managed to somehow escape capture after we interrupted their attempt to blow Silver Sable's jet out of the air over New York."
She paused to let the note-takers catch up and to let them study one of their targets.

Really, it seemed like a good idea - and it would make the world a better place. Points all around.

He nodded thoughtfully to himself. "Maybe some spider-drones?" he asked himself quietly. "Definitely some heavier ordinance for the team..."

Joe considered it an obligation to crack HYDRA skulls twice a year, minimum.
Joe looked over the positions of the guerrilla and paramilitary fighters in the area.
"This guy tried to whack the Silver Sable? Can't imagine he'll live long if that's the case. What's her status?" he asked.

"Are we wiping the nest out, or is this an extraction?"
no subject
"Silver Sable is alive and operating her team of mercenaries out of Europe. The team lead by Agent Fury assisted in keeping the HYDRA attack from being a larger international incident. Dr. Ubel managed to escape in the commotion of a rescue and the weapon firing at the incoming jet." She shrank the doctor's picture and expanded grainy pictures of two others.
"These two are prominent engineers within HYDRA. From what surveillance we have managed to get, they seem to be outfitting this abandoned hotel with technology. Which is why Fitz will be going into the field with extra coverage. We're mobilizing as many boots on the ground as we can, but this team will be on point. We're wiping out this nest and taking whatever technology we can in the process."
She shrank the profile images back down and put the 3-D topographical map of their destination up for the agents to look over. "We leave within the hour on the Bus."

Joe looked at the map of the destination and committed it to memory. His personal mission, as of now, was to make sure that everyone in this room came back in one piece.
"Extermination it is." he said, looking around the room at the other agents. He hoped they weren't squeamish about catching bodies. The situation with Alisa LeBeau (he'd learned her name afterward) showed him that they could work a plan. Fitz was the one he was most concerned about, but if they did their job, Fitz probably wouldn't have to kill anyone.

"I think I've got some, ah, some goodies that would work well for this one," he said. "And give us a little more punch where we need it."

"Simon, could I see you for a second? Give me 10 minutes, I'll meet you in your lab?"
