Asylum (Open to X-Men)
Fred followed the Logan girl into the manor, examining his surroundings carefully. Well it certainly had the appearance of a school, though Fred knew there was far more to this place than that. He was eager to speak with those in charge.

"Hello, my name is Franklin Richards. One of the teachers here. Pleasure to meet you." He offered his hand to shake.
no subject
"Hopefully it will remain so. I have a proposition for your organization."
no subject
"Huh," she said. "Well I'll be."
She looked over to Franklin. "So yeah," she said. "This guy thinks somebody's after him, so he decided to show up on our doorstep."
no subject
"You seem calm for someone who's supposedly on the run from someone." Franklin observed neutrally, not passing judgement one way or the other. "How about we start with who you are? Then we can go to who's after you, and then I'll listen to any propositions."

"...Now that's what I call landin' yerself in trouble."

"Are you one of his test subjects?" Franklin asked, not without empathy. "Your features are ... somewhat reminiscent of his." It would be better for them to know precisely why that was immediately rather than find out later. He had little doubt they could handle the Dark Beast, and handily, but it would be good to know if they could expect him coming.

"Rose, I'd like to talk to Fredereich alone for a little bit, if you don't mind." No use not being direct.
He waited for Rose to leave before saying anything further.

She slipped back out the front door.

There was a flash of light, and less than a second later, they were standing in his office.
"Have a seat, please." Franklin said, sitting down himself. "You said you had a proposition for us. You should understand that we're not an 'organization' so much as we are a school. A refuge for those who need it."

"So long as you can provide me the asylum I seek, then I do not care what you call yourselves," Fred assured. "The Dark beast possessed extensive files on various mutants and organizations relating to such. I can share what information I have learned in exchange for a safe place to conduct my research."
no subject
"Your magnamity is appreciated, but it is a very important distinction for us." Franklin listened to what Fred had to say further. "... your research?" Franklin raised his eyebrows. "What exactly is your line of research, Frederich?"
no subject
"Genetics, in particular my genetics," Fred explained. "You see the Dark Beast's experiments have left me with a very unstable genetic code. As a result I am prone to involuntary, often inconvenient mutations. I am working to stabilize my condition." Fred noted the eyebrow raises. If you wish I am certain you have a few psychics on hand. You may feel free to have my mind read, though fair warning, my mental state is not entirely stable."

And they could always summon Emma if things got truly thorny.
"As for asylum, I can offer you that, at least for the time being. I think it goes without saying that if you personally do anything to endanger our faculty and student body, that offer will be retracted. Otherwise, however, you can have sanctuary here."
no subject
Fred gave a toothy smile at the latter statement.
"Then you have my thanks."

You aren't a student at the current time, so not all of our restrictions apply to you, but you should also know that this is a drug-free property. I suspect you're under 21, so that includes drinking. The usual rules about noise restrictions and such that come with any shared living arrangement also apply."
Franklin went over to the computer and quickly typed in a few commands, getting the printer to whir off a few copies of a document.
"This is a provisional acceptance into our school. And yes, even at a mutant school, we have important paperwork." Franklin hoped that Fred paid close attention to the provisions about security. It was important that the school offers sanctuary to those who needed it, but the overall security of the school was vital. "We can revisit your status when the school year begins."

"I have always educated myself. I am not certain I would be comfortable having someone else tell me things I could learn myself. While your offer is noted, I am not interested in becoming a student. My work is what matters, so I will do what you require of me in the meantime."
