Holy Crap, There's Trouble!

Jay had not wasted much time once he ascertained that Audhild was truly gone and not conveniently stashed under a table or something. He never took a trickster for granted. His heavy footfalls sounded down the hallways as he scrambled to find someone more responsible than him.

Possibly someone with more tact to tell Vincent.

Maybe the former X-Lady was around. Jay did not really pay attention to what her schedule was.

"I'll be there in a minute." Vincent was working on a small project designed to let his subconscious brain work over some roadblocks he'd hit on other projects. The time-waster was a tracking system for Jay to use on that space-rodent he'd adopted. Now if he could just get the tag on the little beast...

He's still tinkering with part of it when he arrives in the kitchen, not making eye contact yet. "Yes?"

"Only him," Jay confirmed with a nod. Then he shook his head. "Nothing other than blast me through a wall and make me lick another blast."

He glanced toward Vincent and edged ever so slightly toward one of the exits.
