Post Release R&R (Alisa, Alistaire, and Reiko... oh my!)
Alisa had been released from Prison rather quickly, and then given work by the Reavers just as fast. After one Merc job, she was allowed to go off on her own, until needed again. Her cybernetic implants had been calibrated and she felt like her old self, again. What better way to relax and celebrate all of this, than going to Alistaire's Beach house and crashing for a few days.
She rode up to the Beach house on a newly purchased Harley Davidson. The smell of the salt air was refreshing, and the house itself was pretty nice. After kicking down the kickstand and dismounting, she grabbed a saddle bag off the side of the bike and made her way to the door.
Knowing it would be locked, she carefully put down her bag and reached into her jeans pocket for a set of lock picks.
" May not have liked the old man, much... but at least he taught me well." She grinned, easily unlocking the door, then carrying her bag inside. With the same ease, she slipped off her boots, and began to make her way inside.
"Hope Alistaire don' mind."

He gives a small smile. "Reiko and I have been intimate. It goes a fair way in taking the edge off."

"Sorry, Reiko, I changed my mind. You can find me two miles down de beach, away from everyone an' everyt'ing." Her face was a straight line as she reached to grab her saddle bag. "I need to cool off."

"Really Alistaire, I already offered and she turned me down, if all you care about is beautiful things, then you're sleeping alone." She set the drink on the counter next to the bottle making it clear that Alisa wasn't the only one hurt by his words.
"No, Alisa, give me a few minutes and I'll have a bag, we can stay at the inn in town, I'll make the arrangements, someone needs to think on how to talk to ladies." She flashed Alisa a small grin as she started past Alistaire to get her things. If he appologized and meant it she might reconsider.

Alistaire collects his thoughts quickly before speaking again. "Alisa, the people we deal with see your scars and only see failure. They don't see the proof of your survival, as Reiko and I do. My superpower is wealth, and I have enough of it to do my part in armoring you against that sort of judgment."
It's an apology; in what words he can construct it to be.

She thought for a moment, then pulled something out of her saddle bag. It was a mask, one with no facial features other than four slits in it (two on each side). She put it over her face, and a notable "click" could be heard. Her hand would go back to her side, as the mask was no in place.
The four slits in the mask suddenly opened up to display four, bright, red on black eyes that moved in unison. When she blinked, the "eyes" of the mask blinked back.
"Dere, is dis better for you, now?" She asked, somewhat amused.
"Dis mask allows me to view de world in night vision, thermal infrared, or normal vision. It even dulls brightly lit conditions, an' is in sync wit' my cybernetic implants. It was kind o' a gift from de people who sprung me outta prison, an' totally worth de work I gotta do to pay'em back for it."

When Alisa put on the mask she frowned. "You're not a machine Alisa." Though Reiko didn't like the implants anyway, she wished she hadn't failed Alisa, but to repair the damage had been well past her abilities.

And there's the bourbon, besides.

"No, I am not a machine, Reiko. But I ain' exactly human, either. I'm sumt'ing more." She said with a slight smile before moving to find a seat in the room, after putting the mask back away of course.
"Whatever I am, I've accepted it, an' I feel much better for doin' so. For now, I jus' wanna relax, watch de moon over de ocean, an' maybe fool around in bed for a bit." Always straight to the point. At least that did not change.
no subject
"Well not sure if all that will happen, but..." Though she's not sure what will happen though.
"I'm sure it might work out, you're a little more resourceful than I."

Alisa leaned over and gave Reiko a kiss on the forehead, before turning back to Alistaire.
"To be quite honest, I would love to sleep in a NORMAL bed, wit' de lights OFF for once. An' you know, surrounded by nice, soft pillows, some sexy lingerie, a basket o' bath bombs an' lotion."
She noted she had a somewhat goofy smile on her own face, now.
"What? I took all dat shit for granted! I really need some REAL R&R before I go huntin' a target in de City. I wanna be at de top o' my game!"
