[Godstorm] Riding Out the Storm

The Godstorm came at New York City, gathering other storms nearby to it. It wanted power Thor's little hammer couldn't easily undo. The Godstorm had underestimated the god once. If he showed up again, he would be ready. His reach was expansive. All along the Atlantic Coast, they felt his raging wrath. Even glancing touches from his circulating clouds brought damage.

There was warning he was coming, but Godstorm cared not one whit. He want right toward the harbor, using its funneling effect and the high tides from the moon to shove torrents of water into the megalopolis. He pushed on shore, making his way inland.

He was looking for something. Not that the small people trying to survive the hurricane coming ashore knew that. Their survival was not even a concern. He just pushed on land and spread his reach. He pushed his storm inland and the requisite flooding came with it. The winds howled and shards of glass broke off skyscrapers and added sharp damage to the mayhem.

"Leave her alone!" Vincent yelled, instinctively pushing against the bike's connection to her.

She gritted her teeth. "Vincent, if you're going to move us, do it quick, he's too panicked." At least crouching as she was she wasn't going to move too quickly.

There's a brief sizzling feeling in the air, before they disappear. The location is as Mira remembers it, the dryness in the air sudden and oppressive.

The visions are still in her head a few moments, she digs her hands into the sandy soil breathing heavily.

"Damn it... I'm useless back there. I don't even know if the bus made it out of the city." She whispered once she had calmed some. The AI had shut down for the time being. "Sorry you had to come get me Vincent. Glad you did, just... Really sucks needing to get fished out of the water all the time."

Vincent stroked her back gently, giving her time. "Just let me know if you need anything." He furrowed his brow. He wanted to be back, doing more, but it wasn't in him to leave her either.

She reached up for his hand. "I'll be okay in a little bit." She looked up at him. "Not sure if I can handle going back just yet though."

"You're not going back to the city until the storm has passed and the waters recede." The Avengers can call on him in her stead if she has duties to fulfill. He's not sending her back to that.

She gave a weak nod, at the moment she's fine being away from the rain. "If they need the extra help I'm going back. I lasted two hours, As long as I can get inside or out of the salt water to calm down I should be okay."

"You're no good to yourself or anyone in the midst of a panic attack. You can rest here. I'll go back and do enough for both of us." Vincent frowned.

She frowned back at him but figured it was probably best not to argue with a boyfriend that could probably make sure she went somewhere she'd be out of harm's way if she argued too much. She wasn't sure if she was ready to see Asgard thanks.

"Fine, and.. Vincent," She looked up at him. "Thank you. For pulling me out of the drink twice."
