[Godstorm] Riding Out the Storm
The Godstorm came at New York City, gathering other storms nearby to it. It wanted power Thor's little hammer couldn't easily undo. The Godstorm had underestimated the god once. If he showed up again, he would be ready. His reach was expansive. All along the Atlantic Coast, they felt his raging wrath. Even glancing touches from his circulating clouds brought damage.
There was warning he was coming, but Godstorm cared not one whit. He want right toward the harbor, using its funneling effect and the high tides from the moon to shove torrents of water into the megalopolis. He pushed on shore, making his way inland.
He was looking for something. Not that the small people trying to survive the hurricane coming ashore knew that. Their survival was not even a concern. He just pushed on land and spread his reach. He pushed his storm inland and the requisite flooding came with it. The winds howled and shards of glass broke off skyscrapers and added sharp damage to the mayhem.

What with the water overtaking lots of coastal things, shoving ships inland, and other things disruptive to surfacer life. Like making him lose the engagement ring.
"At least we don't have a fussy baby."

"Don't worry so much about looking for a house. We'll find one. It's not that big of an issue, even with a storm."
no subject
"I guess I picked up a few more worries becoming a father?" Which was a better cover than saying possibly becoming a husband. Ha ha. He was going to play his hand before this storm was over it. He knew it. Close quarters with an observant, gorgeous woman was going to do him in.

She smiled.
"What's really bothering you?"
no subject
"I..." He waved a hand in the air to try to conjure the right excuse. "... had found a shipwreck and salvaged some things from it. Now those things are probably embedded in the Empire State Building."
no subject
"Actually, it depends on how deep the shipwreck is and where you salvaged them to. If you have depth estimates and locations I can tell you based on the currents and windspeed."
no subject
"Well, I stored the important pieces on The Blauzes."
Because why wouldn't he use a place local residents call 'the Blue Breasts' to store things. He had thought his stuff would be safe in the City Island Harbor. Maybe sometime he should take crazy hurricanes into account.

The corner of his mouth kept trying to curl up, but he fought it. He was regal prince. He was not supposed to be amused about getting between the harbor's boobs.

"Wow, babe. Just wow. As for your treasures, if they are below surface they are probably fine. I'd be more worried about what is above the sea."
no subject
"Not really. Gigantic, cold, and wet may have some appeal for other Atlanteans, but you know my preferences." Or at least, he hoped she did. He tried to sleep on a bed beside her rather in his tank.
He took in a deep breath. "Well, I can hope, I guess. Provided the storm surge doesn't rearrange things. But I'm not so good with the..." He waved a hand in the air to try to conjure the right words. He failed and his voice was a bit flatter. "... smart, science-y stuff."

"I think it was a merchant vessel. Mostly. Some gold bars. Silver coins. Lots of ceramic vessels. Some stuff I think belonged to the captain and his family." Like one very pretty mariner's wife's ring.

He checked over his shoulder at the tank. He blinked. His voice picked up an edge. "-baby?"

"Why is my tank empty?" He didn't really notice the salt water drips hitting his shoulders.

Alexa raised a brow and got up to look at the tank.
"Where. Is. Guin?"
no subject
And then something wet hit him in the eye. He made a startled sound and looked up.
"Maudit."
Their daughter by the ceiling was not his doing.
