Rebel Yell
Dolemeck was dealing with a lot on his shoulders. The thought that Fred might be able to get him to walk again, a Father who continued to harass him non-stop, suffering through the traumatic effects of the raid on the mansion, and the loss of someone so close to him. All of this caused the once naive and goodie two shoe Brit to start acting differently. Much differently than normal.
He managed to successfully (as far as he knew), leave the mansion grounds to go attend a Jono Starsmore concert. It was a good escape, and it felt refreshing for him to once more lose himself to the music. Unfortunately, no concert can last forever... and Dolemeck would eventually have to return back to the mansion.
Dressed in a black leather jacket, eyepatch, a vintage rock t-shirt, black jeans, and a pair of Doc Marten boots, Dolemeck used his powers to "float" back on the other-side of the fence, and start the trek back to the boy's dorm. So far, he appeared to be in the clear.

With Volcano Girls blasting through her headphones, it took Kayla a moment to recognize that there was someone there at all, and when she did, she couldn't help but jump slightly. She turned around.
"Jesus Christ, Dolemeck, you scared me." Then she realized for a moment that he hadn't just been on a walk or anything. He'd clearly left the grounds. Something that he was absolutely not supposed to do, in fact, it was something that could very likely get him kicked out of the school.
"What the fuck are you doing, Dolemeck?!?" Kayla took off her earphones and went tramping off towards him. "You're on probation, you dumbass."
no subject
"I needed to escape for awhile." He said, shrugging his shoulders in a lazy manner. "And I know I am on bloody probation. It just does not matter to be anymore in the slightest."
no subject
"So you don't care that you could be kicked out of here?" The more she thought about it the angrier she got. "Do you have any fucking idea how fortunate you are? How many people would kill to be here, to be somewhere where you can actually be a mutant, be who you actually are freely? To actually learn about yourself and develop those powers?
You really, honestly, do not give a shit about any of that?"

It was somewhere he liked, somewhere he wanted to be. But with how his life was, with how everything good just seemed to disappear in a blink of an eye, Dolemeck started putting up more and more defenses. The last few were shattered, so new ones were erected to protect what was left of his heart and sanity.
With his hands shaking, Dolemeck took out a cigarette from the inside pocket of his coat. He lit it up as quick as he could and then took a few puffs of it to get it going.
"No, I don't." He frowned, blowing smoke away from Kayla. "If I start giving a bloody shit about anything, it will just up and leave me. Might as well save me some heartache and leave before I get too attached to anything around here."

You can't change what's already happened, but you can learn from mistakes and move on." Kayla felt an irrational urge to smoke herself, probably something left over from Rose but maybe because it might relax her a little. There was a lot she wanted to say, but she didn't think a lot of it would help.
"It is a lonely, lonely world out there. Don't fuck up the best chance you have."
no subject
"I sometimes feel like I was born alone. I lack what most of you have here." He had a small grin on his face. "Besides, I have already fucked up enough. You caught me."

She looked at him for a moment. "You did that." She took a deep breath. "I owe you one." She gave him a serious look. "If you swear to whatever you hold dear that you do not ever pull any stupid shit like this again ... you need this place, Dolemeck.
Start acting like it."
no subject
"Alright, luv. I swear I will not pull any stupid shit like this again. Don't hold much dear to me anymore, but I swear." He then made a slight pouty face, taking his cigarette away from his lips. "And I hate to admit, but you are right, about a lot of things. Since when have you gotten so smart?"
no subject
Everyone makes mistakes. That's life. But it's what you do afterwards that shows who you are."
She managed a faint smirk. "Now get the fuck to bed before someone else finds you."

Always is around here."

"Trust me, Kayla. I do not want any world tours, I just want to play some music is all." He gave one last wave. "Goodnight, luv. Sleep well when you do!"
With the window shut, he began to get out of his clothes, looking for something to sleep in... and get into bed before he was caught.
