"I am no more fond this new found fame than you are. It will pass as society will find another fad to latch onto," he assured. His look turned more sympathetic. As someone who frequently dealt with the issues of animal appendages, he could emphasize with her. "Your wings are troubling you?"
"Just hope it passes and we're not in the hated list again." She gave a slight nod. "Losing feathers, some were pulled others are just falling out. Molting sucks, and pretty sure it's not something Worthington has to deal with." She shifted them slightly, and sure enough a few feathers fall from under the blanket. "They itch like crazy too."
Fred would have responded with a blunt dose of reality of it were anyone else, but he had a soft spot when it came to Bobbi. Like him she was a genetic creation, and perhaps better than everyone there, understood what it meant to be him. He pulls something from his pocket, a small plastic tube.
"Try some of this. I use it during periods when my muscles shift. I would recommend just a fingertips' worth for you."
Well the two lab rats have to stick together right? Though she does try to fit in with the others it just is easier to talk to Fred about normal stuff.
"An ointment of my own design, meant to dull pain during the extreme muscle shifts I sometimes experience," he explained. "I'd recommend only a small amount for you, as I suspect too much would cause numbing."
She thought a moment and nodded. "Guess we're both a bit unstable eh?" She gave him a faint grin. "And yeah, don't think we need me going completely numb, while my feathers themselves aren't dangerous, I'd hate to see if my natural reflexes kick in and I freeze them." She blushed. "Think you can apply it? I have less reach on my back than most people."
He let out a light chuckle. "I suppose we are at that." He gave a rare, gentle smile. "Yes, I can do that for you." He opened the tube, putting a small amount of the ointment on his finger. "Just tell me where."
"The spots bothering me the most are the bald spots where my wings come out of my back.". She let the blanketvslip showing she was in a baby blue strapless halter type top, probably one of the only dress down tops she had that didn't irritate the wings.
"Very well then." He sans her back with the professional of a doctor, in spirit if not in actuality. He finds the spots soon enough.
"What?" He stops when he hears her say that. It freezes him for a moment, as if those words were a pair he had rarely heard in his life. "i..yes, well..you're welcome," he manages to sat before gently rubbing the ointment on the indicated areas.
She winces slightly when he touches her, but doesn't flinch away.
"Well you saved me a trip downstairs. And... It tingles." She grinned a little, it wasn't a bad feeling, just weird. "Though totally asking to not go on the next mission still. I look worse than a caged chicken, and flying is out until these feel better."

"Oh? What is it?" She quirked a brow at the tube.

She did smile though. "I'll try to remember to be nice if I start a prank war, and leave you out of it."

He gives a small nod. "Your consideration is appreciated."
