Attack on New York (All US teams on deck!)

The Avengers will arrive in Time's Square in short order. They will see Frost Giants moving out quickly. There are a few standing guard over something but there is nice and snow shooting up into the air so it isn't obvious right away that it is the Cask of Winter.

But there are many Frost Giants gathered here. It is an invading army.

Jay remembered his part of the plan was to be smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaashing! He bounded toward some Frost Giants.

"Spoooooooooooooooooon me notintheface!" He flailed his arms for attention. No giant would ignore him for long. He'd make sure of it!

Since Marcus was fresh out of heat, he concentrated on getting civilians out of the path of the oncoming horde while he kept an eye on his teammates. Just in case.

Bruce had enough more than enough energy at his disposal, as did Roxanne. Jay however, in Vincent's opinion, needed more than just sinew and confidence. He stabs his staff into the ground, hastily drawing a rune in ash, and then speaking an incantation to activate it. The ash solidifies and then takes flight, affixing itself like a massive tattoo on Jay's back. His hands suddenly burst into flame, although Jay himself does not burn.

He just rolls his eyes at the Doombots. The Ultron models from back home had been so much more tasteful.

Heat. Roxie could give off plenty of that. She wasn't using her photon blasts anymore - that was a little too Kree for her these days - but the waves of anger that she felt, bubbling and boiling inside of her, the same rage that caused that dark, furious red aura around her...that she could put to good use.

She whirled in mid-air, forcing heat into the glowing spiked mace that she used to bash the Frost Giants with.

Nicky swooped up and around the Frost Giants. Under normal circumstances, he would be trying to make peace but...well, with the Frost Giants, even Nicky knew that trying to find a peaceable solution was an impossibility.

"Sorry," he whispered softly before bringing his axe down on one of the Giants.

Then Erin does her thing. First she focuses on all of the moisture and makes sure that the allies they have gathered will not be effected. Then around the Frost Giants she starts to make the water molecules move faster and faster. It's going to take a little bit but she will boil them.

The Frost Giants begin to engage the Avengers.

One moves to swing a big heavy ax at Bruce.

A spear is Thrown at Roxanne.

Civilians feel comforted by Marcus and can be guided to safety where police are trying to organize a barrier.

The Giant Nicky attacked manages to pull back. His weapon catches in the bone necklace around his neck. He glares then tries to punch Nicky.

So far no one has noticed what Erin is starting to do.

Jay was not getting the attention he wanted. Instead he had flaming fists. Which startled him. "Augh!"

He flailed at a giant's ankle for a moment. Before realizing the burning was not effecting him.

"VINCENT!" Jay roared as he launched himself higher on the giant. He tried to rein in the almost uncontrollable anger. Or at least push it in the direction of the giants. "I'm going to shove you up a giant's ass for this!"

Well, it was slightly redirected...

...Did other team leaders have to deal with this? Bruce was pretty sure no other leader had to deal with this amount of insanity.

He took a charge straight up the middle, pumping out photonic blasts.

Lord save him from his teammates, sometimes. Marcus heard Jay's roar and shook his head still herding shaken civilians out of the path of danger. The farther away the better, all things considered.

Vincent heard the roaring and just rolled his eyes. Had he not been wielding his staff, he'd have thrown his hands up. He was told to give support. He gave support. Some people just can't accept help graciously, he supposes.

He surveys the battlefield and his gaze narrows on a frost giant advancing in Marcus' evacuation route's direction. He focuses his energies again and erects a large wall of force between Marcus and the giant, visible only from Marcus' side. With any luck, the giant will crash into it hard enough to be imbalanced.

The spear pierced itself through Roxie's shoulder and she grunted in pain. That did not feel good! Deftly, she hung her mace off of a hook on her belt and steeled herself, her teeth biting into her inner lip as she placed her hand on the spear and pulled it out. She slapped on hand over the pierced armour, forcing heat onto the wound to cauterize it.

Then she threw the spear back in the direction that it came from, her eyes glowing red with rage.

Not good. Not good, not good, not good! Nicky thought to himself as he saw the fist coming towards his face. He lifted on silver-vambraced arm in front of his face to block the punch and tried to pull his axe out away from the necklace.

And wham!, the punch connected...sending Nicky flying backwards, axe and necklace in tow.

And right about now the moisture in the air that is touching the Frost Giants starts to heat up. Erin looks very focused and is paying attention only to what the water molecules are doing. She is even making the water more dense around the Frost Giants as if they are getting hit by hot steam.

The giants disapprove of Vincent getting shoved there. Three of them though charge at Jay head on. They heard tales of the Angry Green Man and do not wish to have him tear through their numbers.

Suddenly Bruce will have to start dodging giant sized arrows. Apparently someone gave Frost Giants bows last Christmas. That is just NOT cool.

Vincent though is able to stop the Frost Giants from going after Marcus or the civilians.

Roxie is one very luck demi-goddess. With one shot she has the spear right through the shoulder of a Frost Giant.

The Frost Giant Nicky is fighting advances on him. A cruel smirk is across the giant's face as he gets closer.

Jay roared something inarticulate and launched himself at the giant in the middle. His flaming hands looking for a grip and then smash. He was too busy seeing gamma green to pay attention to what any of the other Avengers were doing.

"Holy...!" Bruce shouted, dodging around arrows for the time.

He fired off some photon blasts in the general area they had come from.

Vincent throws some light and noise into the giants' faces, trying to imbalance them. He can't intensify it too much, or it'll catch his comrades in the same barrage.

Roxie shoots forward towards her speared Frost Giant. She pulls her glowing red mace back and then brings it forward, intent on bashing its head in.

For a second, all Nicky can see are cartoon lightning bolts and images of prancing Loki.

They give away to the visage of a Frost Giant coming towards him, grinning wickedly.

Nicky's eyes narrow and he lets out a warrior's yell before going straight for the giant, aiming to tackle it and then strangle it with its own necklace.

Once the area was cleared of civilians, Marcus took stock of his comrades. It looked like most of the heavy hitters were doing fine on their own and in ragey bursts of violence he didn't need to be getting into the middle of. Instead, he made his way over to Erin and waited beside her, ready to snatch her away on Aether if the giants realized what she was doing.

Erin is focusing a great deal on what she is doing. She is only barely aware that Marcus has gotten near her. She is trying to boil Frost Giants when she feels something change and suddenly there is more cold coming from somewhere.

She is puzzled but focuses her powers even more.

Jay will find himself both burning and grappling with a Frost Giant. The other two start trying to lay a beat down on the normally jolly green giant.

Some of the arrows get burned out of the sky. Mostly though Bruce lands some solid hits on an archer.

The bash connects and the giant screams as it's body is super heated by Roxie and the water close to it's body heating up.

The Frost Giants have noticed Erin. Someone who looks like a leader points at her. She's going to be in trouble fast.

The Frost Giant roars right back at Nicky and charges him. They're about to go head to head.

Jay was more intent on the one his was atop of and pummeling, which turned out to be a mistake if he had been a bit calmer of mind. One of the other two grabbed Jay's hand and yank backwards. It threw Jay off-balance enough for plenty of giant blows to rain down on him.

It was sunny enough. Bruce concentrated his energy into strength and flew to land a punch on a giant's jaw.

"Marcus! Vincent! Protect Erin!"
